Chapter 29 - death

We arrive at the astronomy tower.
"Please go!" Draco begs shoving me gently with tears in his scared eyes.
I climb the stairs with him,
"Evening Draco" dumbledore greets him, I stand close behind. "what brings you here on this fine spring evening?" Dumbledore blanks me only focusing on the blonde haired boy.
"Who else is here? I heard you talking!" Draco aims his wand at dumbledore. I wish to speak but I know it won't make things any better.
"I often talk aloud to myself I find it extraordinarily useful, have you been whispering to yourself Draco?...Draco you are no assassin" dumbledore doesn't move as he and Draco converse.
"How do you know what I am, I've done things that would shock you!" Draco spits out.
"Like cursing Katie bell and hoping that in return she'd bare a cursed neckless to me? Like replacing a bottle of mead with one that's laced with poison? Forgive me, Draco, I cannot help feeling these acts are so weak that should, heart couldn't really been in them" dumbledore taunts Draco.
"He trusts me! I was chosen!" Draco tugs up his sleeve, revealing his mark. The mark that haunts me every day. I close my eyes.
"Draco" I mutter quietly, Draco looks over at me as I open my eyes. "Don't" I say simply.
"I shall make it easy for you" dumbledore shows his wand allowing Draco to use the expelliarmus spell to disarm him.
"Professor!" I gawp at him,
"It's okay, Clementine" he tells me calmly.
I go to place my hand on my wand, ready if needed.
"There are others? How?" We hear the others climbing the stairs.
"The vanishing cabinet in the room of requirement! I've been mending it" Draco informs dumbledore.
"Let me guess, it has a sister, a twin?" Dumbledore raises his eyebrows curiously.
"In borgin and burkes, they form a passage." Draco explains about the cabinets.
"Ingenious, Did you know about this?" Dumbledore asks me,
"Not until a few minutes ago, I saw Draco and followed him" I admit staring into dumbledore's eyes.
"Draco, years ago I met a boy who made all the wrong choices. Please let me help you" dumbledore pleads,
"I don't want your help! Don't you understand! I have to do this! I have to kill you; or he's going to kill me" Draco swells up in tears and his hand shakes. I've had enough I pull out my wand to disarm Draco.
"Expelliarmus" bellatrix's voice echoes as she enters, my wand gets sent towards Draco and Draco throws it to the other side of the astronomy tower.
"Well look what we have here, the two people we need" bellatrix enter, she walks past me and one of her death eater friends restrain me. "Well done,Draco" she whispers as she rests her chin on his shoulder.
"Good evening Bellatrix, I think introductions are in order don't you?" Dumbledore asks her.
"Love to Albus, but I'm afraid we're on a bit of a tight schedule" bellatrix hisses.
"Stop this madness" I end their conversation.
"Shut it! Do it, Draco, do it!" Bellatrix demands.
"Don't Draco! You better than scum like them!" I Yell loudly, Draco hesitates.
"Keep her quiet!" Bellatrix orders, one of the men sends their hand across my face before silencing me with the silenco spell.
I hang my face to the right, my hair covering my eyes, I taste blood in my mouth and on my lips.
"He doesn't have the stomach just like his father, let me finish him my own way" the death eater that slapped me sneers.
"No! The dark lord made it clear that the boy has to do it!" Bellatrix objects.
Draco looks over at me our eyes connecting.
"This is your moment, do it!" Bellatrix walks in front of me to gain dracos attention. "Go on Draco, now!" Bellatrix bellows at the boy. Draco shakes uncontrollably.
"No." Snape enters. I sigh a sigh of relief as does Draco. Draco moves to my side and takes me from the death eater, he holds me up right.
"Severus, please" dumbledore mutters.
Snape aims his wand all so quickly as those forbidden words escape his lips.
"Avada kedavra"
Dumbledore falls backwards, off the tower to his death.
I scream and rush forward, I stare down as it happens, time slows down and my heart skips a beat.
The greatest wizard is no longer alive.
"You traitor" I spin around and face snape.
I scramble to my wand, I aim at the death eater men whom try to get me.
"Stupefy!" I stun and sprint off.
I hold onto my head as Bellatrix sends the dark mark into the sky.
"Draco grab her" Bellatrix orders, Draco takes my arm then my wand and drags me with them.
"Please no, just leave them Draco" I beg, I watch as Bellatrix trashes the great hall and sends anyone in their way into a wall.
Draco doesn't and can't listen to me, he doesn't allow himself.
I glare at bella with pure hatred as she prances around the grounds,
"Snape! He trusted you!" A voice booms towards us, I gasp as Bellatrix sends Hagrid's home a light.
"Go on!" Snape shoos us away.
"Harry!" I scream towards him, "Harry!"
Draco drags me further and further away that I can no longer see or hear the quarrel between Harry and snape.
We escape the grounds and snape disapperates with me in his clutch.
He throws me to my knees in front of the dark lord.
Voldemort smiles down at me.
"Ready yet?" He ask.
