Loving you was like loving the moon.

So pretty and bright, always shinning, just so pretty to look at.

When you shined your light down on me and I bathed in that glow I felt loved, felt warm in the cold night fog. The way you shined, well it made me feel like maybe I could too.

But the light only last so long, can only be so bright until the morning sky floods the earth and that's when I knew your glow was not made just for me.

For the moon carries stars, carries galaxies wherever he goes, and does not shine for just one, he shines for anyone who will love his glow.

Just like the moon, you were too far away, to out of my reach.

Maybe one day you'll learn to love the stares that look your way into the night sky, but I never learned to hold my breath, besides a new day is dawning.
