Third person POV:
Good morning ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking welcome to the Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport. The local time is 8:38 AM and the temperature is 11 degrees Celsius although it should be warming up shortly. For your own safety please remain seated until the seatbelt light is switched off indicating that we have safely arrived at the gate and it is safe for you to move around the cabin. Please check your seat for any personal belongings and take caution when opening the over head bins as items might have shifted during the flight. On behalf of Air Canada and the entire crew, I'd like to thank you for joining us on this trip and we hope to fly with you again. We hope you enjoy your stay!
The dry Canadian morning sun began to poke through the clouds. As Alexandrina reached the steps to disembark the plane she looked up and smiled, she then placed her sunglasses on her face and Adriana followed closely behind her. Once they entered the airport they were blinded by the sheer amount of people rushing around. Couples greeting each other with warm embraces, families reuniting, racing fans meeting each other for the first time and showing off their prized team gear, students travelling. It was a lot going on at once.
The girls luggage trundled round the conveyer belt and as it got closer they both stepped forward and took it. Max and Lando were busy preparing for practice so a car was being sent to bring the girls straight to the track and the luggage would stay in Max's drivers cabin.
"Oh shit-" Adriana exclaimed grabbing Drina's arm. Before her friend could respond the pair of them were blinded by the flash of cameras near the exit of the airport. Before they knew it their names were being called left and right. Adriana was used to the attention however it still made our dear Alexandrina uncomfortable, she attempted to shut out and ignore the many questions hurled her way by desperate reporters who were pushing to cause drama, write a story or even take a jab at her family. Most of the questions directed at her were about Lando which made her grin ever so slightly. Be that as it may, one question set her over the edge. It made her heart beat out of her chest, made her palms clammy and made her slightly lightheaded. People never asked about it anymore. She thought no one cared. "How does Theo feel about Lando Miss Falcone?" The mixture of the three of their names in the same sentence was like a chemical reaction gone wrong, it all just sort of boiled over and made a big mess. When she heard it she felt like everything slowed down. Surely by now the news of me spending time with Lan had reached everyone in London? She thought to herself whilst she and Adriana paced to the car, Will Theo be angry? Is he going to say something to Lando? Does he even know who Lando is?
One of the red bull hospitality hosts (Cory) shut the car door behind Drina, the sound made her jump. The girls knew Cory well and he often gave very useful advice. He ruffled his bright ginger curls before turning the engine over, he smiled as it roared to life. Adriana gazed out of the window, her narrow eyes full of hope. Her hand still held a firm grip on her best friends. She new her friend was scared but she also knew she didn't like to talk about it. The two had a secret language for when they were in conversation with others:
-Two coughs meant lets leave
-One meant what the fuck
-Rubbing your elbow meant you were okay
-"I think I left my phone," meant this person is hot give me a few minutes alone with them (drina used this more than Adriana though)
There was much more but those were the core four. Adriana despite being hopeful couldn't help feeling on edge. She was scared for Max obviously, but she'd heard the rumours circulating the paddock about Pierre's fate at red bull. Adriana adored Caterina and Pierre's relationship, they were two amazing people who deserved the world. sometimes she wished her and Max got along as well as they did. She cherished what she had with Max so deeply and he was the same. They both had fast paced lifestyles- literally and figuratively, they enjoyed the rush of keeping up with one another. They had their toxic moments but what's a relationship without a teensy bit of toxicity right? It improved other parts of the relationship.
