Semimaru x Natsu (Birds in flight)

Chapter Seven

Hana's pov

I walk after Semimaru quickly. " Semimaru?! Come back." I huff  slightly in worry "I am sorry. What I said was rude. Just come back." I see a shadow move out of the corner of my eye. " Semimaru please I am sorry. I know you are close to her. Closer than every one here." The shadow moves again, but quickly. " Come on Semimaru I said I was sorry. I see her as family too." I watch  him come out of the shadows " Oh thank God. " He glares daggers at me" Ya know I don't really  like you Hana." I raise an eyebrow at his comment" Why is that Seminaru? I haven't done anything to you." He gives me a dirty look. " You may act like this goody two shoes around Arishi but I know people like me when I see them" I laugh confused " What are you talking about people like you?" He looks me up and down " Your someone who picks your victims and then bullies them. The only difference between us is that unlike you, I do it to them straight up and you mentally fuck them up." I look at him very confused " What are you talking about Semimaru? I don't do that " He walks up to me and shoves me lightly. " Don't act like your all good. You have your man all to yourself and the fact your the only one here who has bonded with Natsu and hasn't lost their minds with worry has me so confused and don't  even think about mentioning Botan being the same way, because she isn't . She may try to hide it but I can see the worry in her eyes.  I can see that she hasn't rested since Natsu ended up like this." I go quite and think about what to say next "Do you really think I hate her or something? "  He shakes his head no and looks at me disappointed. " I think you want her gone for some reason even though she treats you like an older sister.  I don't know how Natsu can be so nice. The fact that she even likes you has me questioning everything. She was crushing so hard on Arishi. Then she found out about you and that got her depressed, because she liked him; and it's funny to me because he isn't even that good!  Yeah he cares but he doesn't care as much as I do! You crushed everything she hoped for after we seen that stupid note you left at team springs area.  So tell me Hana are you happy with what you have done? "  I look at him shocked " Semimaru I think you need to calm down you sound crazy. Are you coming down with something?"

Semimaru's pov

" No I am fine I just don't understand how you could have fucking said what you did?! Natsu will be ok. She has to be. Who else would be able to help us with food gathering? Who would keep Botan from over working her self ? Who would keep Arishi from blowing a fuse or two? Who would motivate some of the kids, and show them that even if they are small that they can make an impact and be of some kind of worth ? Who would be there for me regardless of how hateful I am... She can't fucking die Hana. She can't and she won't. So you keep your no good mouth shut. You may be Arishi's lover but the fact your not heartbroken over Natsu has me wondering if you really deserve to even be here with him..."  I glare at her and push past her grumbling at having to deal with her at this time. Natsu what would you have told me to deal with Hana and her dumb ass. I continue thinking about what Natsu would be telling me if she were around as i walk to the showers

Ban's pov

Oh ... I didn't think he would be taking it this hard. I will have to tell Botan about this. I wonder if Arishi knows that Semimaru is struggling this much with Natsu being under this condition... I will have to ask him when I see him next " Hana are you alright? That was a bit intense." She looks at me " Do you think he meant that last part ?" I nod at her " He is taking her condition the hardest and I understand why." She looked at me confused " What do you mean by that ban? He looks like he is handling it like Arishi is?" I shake my head and sigh " No Hana he is beating him self up over this.  I  think that he feels like he is at fault for her condition.  He has been crying recently and on top of that I think he may have realized that he loves her. Like how you love Arishi but different. You love Arishi because of his looks and personality. Semimaru loves Natsu because she can give him every he needs and because regardless of how he treats her she will always treat him the same way. Semimaru fell in love with the way she treated him then he fell for her personality and looks. He is in love with her and he may have realized it too late and it's tearing him apart to have that realization, and on top of that Natsu was the only person he confided in." She still looked confused  " So that means what exactly?" I roll my eyes " Hana I know your not stupid so you should  ask Arishi what he would have done if you were to have been on your death bed and in a coma before he got the chance to confess to you "  She nods "Ok, but how does that relate to what you just said " I sigh " It will help you relate to how Semimaru is actually dealing with this because he isn't dealing with it like you think he is Hana. I am pretty sure it's only me, Botan, and Natsu herself who truly understand how hard he is taking it" She looks to the sky " Is he really doing as bad as you say he is?" I start walking and past by her" Yes and many others are taking it pretty hard and I can't imagine how matsuri would react if she were to find out. Natsu's state has impacted everyone more than you realize"  She starts pointing out some constellations " do you think she will be ok ban, or are you preparing for the worse like I am ?"  I stop " Both  I think she will be ok, but incase she isn't I am preparing for it. You may not like her but you have to know that if she dies  hell will break loose in the community.  Every one enjoys her company and they realize she has a lot of unseen potential. The smaller ones at first saw her as useless because they know more than she does and because she is weak, but then they saw the way she is able to calm Semimaru down when he is angry and how good she is at making things with the grass strips. She has told them many stories they haven't  heard of she teaches them things that they didn't know. Botan only will listen to Natsu when to get rest because she wants to make sure that Natsu gets rest. Natsu told her that she will stay up as long as Botan dose so she can help her. Botan usually quits after 15 minutes of working after Natsu pops in to help her.  Arishi can get pretty up set and Natsu sticks around him when he is like that.  She does it because she knows that he wont do any thing that will cause her to get upset in front of her.  Semimaru is a completely different person without her around.  It is quite concerning. He is loud and annoying like he always is but he just cusses and is overall angry unless it is one of the days he is tired and on those days he just doesn't talk.  Natsu is special and you have to recognize that Hana."  she nods and smiles " Yes I know ban and i do but it is hard for me to like her when I don't see a point in why she is here?  Yes she keeps a few of us sane but what else does she do ?"  I roll my eyes " You would know if you just opened your eyes . have a nice night Hana" I head to the shelter.
