Severene

Napabalikwas ako ng bangon nang marinig ko ang tunog ng alarm clock. I was panting as I wiped off the tiny drops of sweat and tears in my face. I tried to calm myself but it's hard for me. I felt like my heart was pounding too much and was pierced by something sharp.

That was just a dream, yet it feels so real.

I was about to cry again when I remember those things that he said in my dream, but I prevent myself from crying. He may feel miserable if I cry again. I'll try to do what he wanted me to do. He wanted me to move on and fix my life. I'll try to do it. Scratch that, I'll do it. But one step at a time.

I heaved a sigh before I strode my way to the bathroom, I tried to brush off the thoughts in my mind. Cause if I didn't, I won't be able to start my day in a right way again.

After taking a bath, I immidiately prepare for school. Napangiwi ako nang matanaw sa study table ko ang isang bote ng wine na hindi ko naubos kagabi. I was tempted to drink, but no. I immidiately left my room bago pa ako bumigay sa isiping iyon.

As I was walking down the stairs, I began to wonder kung bakit tahimik ang buong bahay. Hindi ito gaya ng dati na may maririnig kang ingay sa kusina. Ingay ng mga taong nag-aalmusal at nag-uusap at tsaka lang sila titigil kapag nakita na nila ako para sitahin, hindi para ayahin mag-agahan. But today is different. The house feels empty, but not enough to bother me. Maybe they went to a trip or something.

I went to the kitchen and opened the fridge, only to see the big box of cupcakes, some fruits and other foods in a container. I want to have some of the cupcakes, but I chose to grab the green apple instead. My mother or Suzy might have counted those cupcakes, and I know that there will be a world war 3 if someone ate those cupcakes except them. Geeeze... I badly want those cupcakes. But this apple will do. I'll just have my breakfast at the cafeteria or bibili na lang ako sa convenient store.

After locking the door, I immidiately strode my way to the gate while thinking about my quiz in zoology later. I'm pretty sure that it will be so stressful as ever.

I put my hands inside my jacket's pocket while thinking about what I reviewed. Yeah, I reviewed and drank last night. What a thing.

"Goodmorning Erene!"

"Fudge!"

"Ouch! Why did you - - - ansaket ah!"

My heart almost jump out of my chest when this crazy guy suddenly jumped and put his hands on my shoulder. He even cheerfully greeted me good morning. But that didn't make me happy at all, I was irritated instead. Para na lang kasi itong multo na kung saan-saan at basta-basta sumusulpot at mahilig manorpresa. Geez! This guy can give me a heart attack in any moment. And as a result, I quickly twisted his arm. Masyado akong nagulat. I almost cussed, luckily, I didn't mentioned the F word. Nagreklamo ito sa sakit kaya agad ko rin itong binitawan but I'm still glaring at him.
