When Cinderpaw is hit by the monster/car and loses ability in her leg, she is told she could never be a warrior, but she still wants to be.

One night, Jagged Peak comes to her in her dreams and trains and teaches her how to hunt, fight, and even climb despite her leg.

After training with him for many nights, ShadowClan cats attack the ThunderClan camp and Cinderpaw takes the chance to prove herself. Dustpaw yells at her to go back inside, but gets blindsided while doing so by an enemy warrior.

Cinderpaw beats the opposing warrior, saving Dustpaw. This is then spread throughout the clan. Fireheart is still afraid to train her up and is about to say no, but Cinderpaw tells him that a StarClan cat that was a warrior in life- despite having the exact same injury- visited her to train her in her dreams.

Fireheart takes her as an apprentice once more. Cinderpaw and Brackenpaw become warriors side-by-side; Brackenpaw becomes Brackenfur and Cinderpaw becomes Cinderpeak.

When Brightpaw and Swiftpaw leave for sunningrocks to prove their worth as warriors to Bluestar, they get mauled by the dogs. Swiftpaw dies but Brightpaw survives.

Brightpaw wakes up to her new name as "Lostface" she is told she could never be a "true" warrior with one eye missing. Cinderpeak defends her sister's place in the Clan, defying Bluestar by training her and not using the name she placed on "Lostface" by calling her Bright instead.

She trains her up to the strength of the best warriors, an equal to herself. The duo a true force not to be reckoned with.

Fireheart (now Firestar) names her Brightheart, accepting the fact she was just as good as any warrior. They both become wonderful assets to the Clan.
