Chapter Two - New Girl On The Block
This chapter will be shorter than usual since the original story was written in such a cringey and confusing way I had to make some changes.
After that disastrous morning, we arrived at school without any exchange of words. I was embarrassed myself. Why did I even wanted to touch him? In that close proximity, the only I could think about was how silky his hair would've felt like or his smooth skin.
Maybe I was getting crazy. Right. I'm crazy from the beginning, but not this crazy.
I was so immersed with my own thoughts that I couldn't feel a hand tapped my shoulders or their repetition of trying to gain my attention. I was after all trying to play like some detective and find the answer to some stupid thing.
This time, a hand waved in front of me and I blinked, finally snapping out of my own bubble. "Whaaa...?"
The girl smiles at me apologetic. "Did I disturb you?"
Well obviously yes. Can't she see me staring into space like some fool? But that's for another day. As I peered at her, I noticed her long streaks of jet black hair and alluring purple eyes that stared against your own. She was pretty all right. Wait, who is she?
I shake my head, keeping my pleasantries. "No, I was just....being a dunce as usual."
"I know this is sudden," she smiles sheepishly, fiddling with her fingers. "--but I just recently transferred and uhm, I heard you recently moved here too..so I was wondering..." she trails off.
"---if you wanted to be friends."
I blinked, trying to process what she just said, then beamed and instantly threw my arms at her. This might be too much for her since she seemed to grew tensed but I was a bright, and a chaotic person myself. "Did you say friends? Of course! I love making friends!"
I pulled away from the hug and she smiles at me faintly, outstretching her hand for me to take and shake. "My name is Elise."
I immediately took her hand and shook it too excitedly that it our arms shook. "I'm Star Butterfly, just your average magical princess at Mewni."
She paused, then her mouth forms an 'o' "You're a princess? And what's Mewni?"
I removed my hand from hers and casually waved my hand like it wasn't a big deal. "Oh just some other dimension planet, no biggie really."
She looks at me like I'm saying gibberish things, but doesn't comment on it and smiles. "Okay, and magical? You can chant spells and whatnot?"
"I have a wan......" I paused, suddenly being reminded of what happened. With a forced smile I continued. "---wand. I can cast spells and magic with it."
"That's cool," she beamed. "---you're rather living a fairy-like story, Star."
I smile. "I guess you can call it that way."
I opened my mouth to say something when the door opens and our teacher was in sight. With a soft mumble I murmured. "Nice meeting you, Elise."
She nods and we all took our seats as the teacher stacks up her materials on the table. She cleared her throat.
"We will have a fieldtrip, so I'm going to partner you all up."
The teacher goes on calling people and pairing them while I wait in anticipation, my stomach felt like I wanted to hurl.
"Star and..." I crossed my fingers.
Please be marco, Marco, Marco!
"Marco."
"Yes!" I exclaimed softly, a wide smile spread on my lips.
I glanced at Marco and he stared at me smilling with his dimple showing and I looked away blushing.
[additional information : I deleted this part cause it was so random and would outbalanced the chapter, but Star's wand is ruined because of what happened in Season 1 (Toffee asking her to destruct her wand.)]
