Sunsets. The second most calming part of any day, sunrises being the first. The reasoning behind it was simple.

As the sun begins to set, all creatures start to recognize that the day was drifting away, trading places with night.

The sky's bright blue color faded into a mixture of purples, oranges, and pinks. As stated before, this time of the day was calming.

Though most creatures had already begun to prepare for their time of rest, one always stayed awake in a small clearing mixed in a flowerbed until the moon decided to take its place in the sky.

"Hmm..." Every time the sun rose or set, (Y/n) sat in the clearing and painted what was seen. A sunrise or sunset over the valley. And this evening, it was the hill, colors of the sky, and trees around the area.

"Out, here again, I see?" (Y/n) jumped, nearly messing up the almost-finished sky. A soft laugh from the person behind her followed her actions.

"You frightened me, Snufkin." (Y/n) replied with a short laugh. She set her pad of paper and brush down, then turned to the voice.

The vagabond smiled. "Perhaps you should begin to prepare for my arrival." (Y/n) returned the smile then motioned Snufkin to sit next to her. "I've always wondered why you come back to the tent so late. I suppose I now know the reason."

(Y/n) smiled sheepishly. "Apologies for not telling you. I didn't want to interrupt your fishing, nor your sleeping."

Snufkin shook his head. "You wouldn't have, love. You're always my number one priority." He eyed the pad of paper. "May I see?"

The young woman looked back at the sunset. Then to her partner. "Mmm... I'm losing the scene. You may watch instead if you wish."

Another quiet laugh escaped from Snufkin's lips. "Of course, love."

He moved behind his partner and wrapped his arms around her waist. He then pecked her right cheek and rested his head on one of her shoulders, watching every stroke that crossed the pad of paper.
