violet pov~

I finally went to sleep without speaking with anyone. I didn't want to talk about the recent event that happened only hours ago. I just wanted it pushed at the back of my brain. I need to focus on the Triwizard Championship.

I laid in my bed in a cold sweat. My mind was brought to some sort of nightmare... no it was a memory. But, it wasn't mine. Then whose was it?

I was brought in a graveyard of some sorts. The air around me was misty and the ground below me looked dead and lifeless. I see a very eye catching statue standing in the middle of the field. What was that? Why was I here?

I suddenly heard wailing and screaming. It felt all too familiar. I turned my head to see that it was... me. In torn down clothing. It looked like a dress of some sorts but I couldn't tell. My skin looked pale and lifeless. Bruises littered around my arms and legs.

A twig-like crown adorned the top of my head. My hair looked untamed and wild. The torn material flew around the place making it look like I was in a deep sea of sorrows, endless sorrows. But, why was I screaming? I looked scared, terrified almost. Tears were curved around my face. My eyes were hollowed.

My screams didn't hurt my ears. It was almost a sad serenade. Suddenly I felt myself being yanked awake. I immediately opened my eyes to see that I was in my dorm. Camille and Abigail were nowhere to be seen. I sighed.

What was that dream? Did it symbolize something? Maybe it did. But, I had to take these next few days easy so I'm just going to focus on the next challenge.

I walked across the Hogwarts bridge with Cedric. He wanted to help me figure out the mysterious clue that was in the egg. He was figuring it out himself as well.

"Come seek us where our voice is." Cedric said.

"The Black Lake. Abigail told me Neville found a new type of creature down there." I said with realization. Neville and Abigail excelled in creature studies so they've got to know more about this!

"An hour long you'll have to look to recover what we took." Cedric said.

"Maybe the challenge is underwater. We'll have an hour to complete it. Maybe whatever they took is in the black lake?" I said. Cedric smiles.

"It makes sense!" Cedric said. But how would we be able to swim underwater for an hour? I need to talk to Abigail. She's most likely with Neville. I quickly grabbed Cedric's hand. "We're going to the black lake. We need to talk to Abigail about this." I said. We begin running straight towards the edge of the black lake.

Once we got there we spotted Abigail and Neville writing things in notepads while their feet were in the lake. I smiled. "Abigail!" I waved at her. She looked up from her notepad and she smiled before waving.

"What are you two lovebirds doing here? You have a challenge to get ready for. It's in two days." Abigail said. I grinned a bit.

"We need your help. We're supposed to be underwater for an hour so we can retrieve whatever the creature took from us. But, we have no idea how we'd be able to do that." I said. I saw the two of them think a bit. Suddenly Abigail's eyes widened.

"For you Violet, you can also transfigure yourself as a mermaid. Cedric since you're a male you wouldn't exactly fit the criteria for the spell but you can just use the bubble head charm." Abigail spoke. Suddenly the word mermaid got me thinking. What if that's what was in the black lake? Maybe that's the creature who took whatever I had?

"Thank you so much, Abigail. Means a lot." Cedric said. Abigail glanced at me.

"No problem. Also, Camille is really good at transfiguration spells so you can just hit her up. She's snogging with Devin in the courtyard." Abigail said. She sounded displeased almost. I smiled a bit.

"See you guys later!" I said before leaving the black lake with Cedric following closely behind. We were heading towards the courtyard and I prayed to Hecate herself that I wouldn't stumble open Camille and Devin snogging.

I felt Cedric hold my hand and I grinned a bit. I glanced over at him to see he was smiling softly.

"Thank you for tipping me about those dragons." Cedric said. I shrugged my shoulders. "I really shouldn't take all the credit. It was really Harry who went out of his way to find out what the first challenge was." I said.

"Yes, but, you could have kept it to yourself. I am competing against you." Cedric said sort of rambling. I cupped his cheek with my other hand reassuringly.

"I would never do that. Even if we're competing with one another I will never leave you behind." I said. And I meant every word I said. He smiled a bit before kissing me. I returned the kiss immediately.

The cold air blew around us.

We parted slowly and I looked into his eyes. He looked like he was thinking about something.

"I have a question and it's really okay if you say no or not." He said. I nodded my head for him to go on.

"Would you like to be my..." Cedric was cut off by a loud cough. We looked at where the noise came from.

There stood Camille and Devin. They were holding hands and the blondie looked at us like she caught us shagging or something and she was going to give me a strong lecture about it. I smiled awkwardly and stepped away from Cedric.

"Camille, we were looking for you. The next challenge I have for the championship is all five of us have to swim underwater for an hour to retrieve what the creature took. Abigail said you're really good at transfiguration spells." I said. Camille looked at me with a confused expression.

"So?" She said. I rolled my eyes a bit.

"I need your help turning me into a mermaid." I said.

"O... kay. I can do that." Camille said.
