My alarm wakes me up from the sweetest of dreams. I was at an amusement park with Jade and she was scared to get on one of the roller coasters. I held her hand and told it was okay, then she agreed to get on the roller coaster with me. They buckled us in a cart together and we held each other's hands tightly until we reached the top. She hugged me tight and I kissed her passionately and she kissed back. I imagined it so warm and gentle, if it ever does happen, I hope it happens exactly like that. After the kiss ended she just held on to me as she closed her eyes and we free fell down the coaster. It just might have been the best dream of my life. Nothing could dull it.

I was so busy fantasizing about my wonderful dream I didn't even notice my alarm blaring right in my face. I hit the alarm an laid back down. My eyes open, looking straight at the ceiling. If I don't get up now I won't be able to eat breakfast, which god knows I need, so I lug myself out of bed to get dressed. I take my clothes of and put some clean ones on, then walk to the bathroom to freshen up. Oh god, I think to myself. I look horrible. My under eye circles are so bad, I look like i have two black eyes or something. I sneak into my mother's bathroom to try to find something to put on my eyes, after all, I can't look I just woke up if I do end up kissing Jade today. I scrummage through her makeup bag to try to find some concealer or something.

As I'm looking through the bag my sister walks in. She asks me what's going on so I just decide to be honest. After I'm done explaining myself she seems to understand where I'm coming from, because she looks appeased. She flags me to her bathroom and gets a whole bunch of little tubes and bottles out of boxes and bags. She tells me to sit down on the counter and goes to town. It's really hard to stay still because everything she puts on me is either super cold or tickles. I try to stay as possible and I somewhat succeed. After what seems like forever she's finally done and I look in the mirror. "wow" I say quietly to myself. I look great! Not only are my under eye circles completely gone, she did something to me. My skin is glowing and my eyes are weirdly accentuated. While I was admiring myself she did my hair with something called "beeswax cream pomade", whatever that is. She used some weird combs and brushes and some hot iron and then my hair looked great, too. wow, my sister must be some magic maker. She just nods and I walk out. That's why I love my sister so much. No matter how mean she can be to me, sometimes we just have these perfect silent understanding with each other, and I really hope she feels the same way about it.

I put on a flannel and a bow tie to match it then walk outside. As I'm walking, my sister comes out and catches up with me. As we travel the long cobblestone to the car she tightens my bow tie, and smiles.  Again. Another one of those moments. Just a perfect, silent, understanding between the two of us. And I can't help but grin as she rushes ahead to get in the front seat. I don't' even bother shouting profanity at her jokingly, I just let her have it.

The whole car ride to school I just look out the window. Staring at everything pretty dramatically. My mother stops at a coffee shop down the road and I order a caramel mocha frappe. Iced coffee always gets me going in the morning. I love it. We pull up to school and throw my empty coffee cup into the refuse bin as my mother and sister drive off to take her to her high school. I still don't get why she decided to transfer to that moronic high school last year when I went to her old high school. Maybe she secretly hates me and doesn't want to even see my face around school? I dunno.

I walk into the orchestra room to put my cello up and roam the hallways for the remaining ten minutes until the first bell rings, pretty pleased with myself.
