the talk

time skip to after school ( im too lazy to type okay 0-0 )

yachi's pov

kiyoko handed me a white shirt, black sweat pants, and a black jacket. she said it was the clothes for the managers and stuff.

i walked into the locker room and changed. kiyoko was also changing so i was looking down the whole time. i was tempted to look up but i didn't want her to think that i'm a pervert...

after changing me and kiyoko walked into the gym. it was pretty big. i was looking around at everything until someone tapped on my shoulder. it was a scary tall dude with blond hair

"AH" i yelled when i looked at who tapped my shoulder

" woah. calm down tiny, i just wanted to let you know that i'm the coach. call me coach ukai "

" o- oh sorry... you scared me "

" pfft, it's fine i know you're scared. i mean being around a bunch of new people is scary. and since you're so small every one looks so tall " coach ukai laughed

" hey! don't make fun of her height! it's mean" and shorter male said. he has brown hair and glasses

" oh shush,takeda you're also short" the blond man says to the short brown haired male

" you guys are confusing yachi " kiyoko said, i didn't even notice that she was next to me. when did she get there?!

after they finished talking, me and kiyoko went to the storage closet while the other two went to sit down. kiyoko showed me where the volleyballs were and where they kept the net and brooms. everything was so neat

after she showed me everything, the boys from yesterday came in. they were really loud, especially the two shortest and the bald dude. me and kiyoko went to go sit with the coaches

kiyoko showed me the notebook and everything else. soon the 12 boys set up the net and brought a the cart of volleyballs

they started practicing. they did a practice game. six on one side of the net and six on the other side. there was a lot of noise from them yelling and the squeaking of their shoes

the team with the silver haired setter won. by the time the team cleaned up it was 5:00 pm

everyone changed and headed home. i noticed that two of the first years stayed back to practice more. kiyoko reminded me that their names are kageyama and hinata. kageyama seems scary

after me and kiyoko arrived at the train station, me and kiyoko said our goodbyes and i hopped on the train

while i was on the train i remembered that my mom told me this morning that she wanted to talk to me about something... i hope it's just about an upcoming business trip

  the train eventually stops and i start walking to my house. i pull my house keys out of my bag and unlock the front door

i walk in and take off my shoes. i look up and see my mom sitting at the couch

" hello mom" i greet her

" oh welcome home hitoka! do you mind sitting down for a bit. we need to talk about something" my mom said smiling. i don't trust that smile...

i walk to the couch and place my bag on the floor. i sit on the opposite side of the couch, away from my mom just in case

" so, since you've recently got your string... have you found your soulmate?" my mom says a little too friendly

" uh about that..."

" oh no! are they a girl?! ah that would be a shame if they are"

" oh no! not at all... at least i don't think.." i say while looking down

what will she do if she found out my soulmate is a girl?!

" you don't think?! what do you mean? have you not found your soulmate yet? what a shame"

" well i wanted to focus on school... i kinda don't wanna go looking for my soulmate at school. also i'm not ready!"

" not ready? what do you mean you're not ready?! they're your soulmate! you better find them soon!" my mother says a little too loud

" y-yes ma'am! once i find them i'll tell you! um also i have something to tell you..."

" what is it?"

" um well started managing the boys volleyball team at my school..."

" since when? i didn't give you permission!" my mom says in a stern

" i'm sorry ma'am... but maybe it'll help me find my soulmate..."

" hmm maybe... you know what. i'll allow it but don't catch feelings for anyone besides your soulmate!"

" yes m- ma'am! "

" now go make dinner i'm starving " my mom yells and points her finger at the kitchen

" y- yes m- ma'am!" i run to the kitchen and start to make dinner

uH i drew something for this but it sucks. also i'm still failing school :D
