A/N: An unexpected crossover in my stories.

Minneapolis's room.

"You ok?" A tall, tanned battleship-girl asked sparingly, looking at the heart-broken cruiser.

"Yeah, but can I have a moment…" Minnie looked around the room as it was completely empty now.

"Alone?"

"Sure, but don't be long ok? The "Dakota" cabin is quite a drive from here." South Dakota spoke up softly, looking at the sad girl and headed for the door.

The battleship walked out the door and closed it behind her as Mininie slowly walked around the room, taking in the sights for one last time, feeling cold and empty inside.

She covered her wet eyes in both hands, remembering her sisters Astoria, Quincy, and Vincennes sunk at Savo Island. Their voices and laughter would be heard no more as Minneapolis fought back more tears.

"I-I-I need s-some air..."

The tanned cruiser walked to the window and opened it, when she saw a strange sight down in the driveway.

A blonde in dirty overalls, loading a few boxes into the back of South Dakota's car.

"Who is that weird girl?" Minnie could tell by their lips, they were talking to each other the whole time as she was too far to understand them.

Minneapolis continued to watch South Dakota talk to what looked like a large yardbird without a care in the world.

"Why is Sodak being so friendly to some yardie?"

The red-eyed girl frowned with jealousy from her high tower as she continued to watch the two odd ship-girls interact in a friendly manner.

Suddenly the blonde girl exploded with surprise and laughter at South as the dirty girl nodded and ran off.

"That was weird."

Minneapolis thought to herself, turning away from the window, grabbing her bag and headed for the door. The white-haired girl looked around one last time as she didn't know what to say.

Outside the door, Minnie thought about locking it, but suddenly realizing it didn't matter at this point and walked away completely broken-hearted.

The cruiser headed down a set of stairs and out to the driveway as South Dakota stood waiting for her next to her running car.

"Ready?" The battleship-girl asked lightly, looking down at the cruiser.

"Yeah I'm-?!" Minneapolis was  interrupted by a loud voice as she looked over to see the same blonde from earlier, running up to her and South.

"YEEHAW!"

"Oh wow Okie, that was fast." South Dakota smiled brightly with the blonde just nodding wildly.

"It's all thanks to ya' Sodak! Toga gave me the whole weekend off." The yardie girl smiled lovingly and hugged South.

Minneapolis felt a pang of anger in her chest as she kind of hated this girl being so friendly with one of her own.

"Come on, let's get going." South Dakota smiled, leaning away from the dirty girl when the blonde suddenly yelled loudly.

"Shotgun!" The yardie girl got in the front seat, causing Minneapolis to huff loudly and climb into the back of the sedan.

South sighed and joined the two other union ship-girls as she punched the clutch, put the car in gear, and headed down the road.

To Minneapolis's discomfort, she continued to listen to the yardie talk mindlessly to Sodak up front.

"Thank you for letting me come wit' y'all, I'd do anything to get out of the docks!" The girl spoke happily as Minnie hissed from the back seat.

"How about starting with a shower? Why is this girl here anyway South? She's dirty and she stinks!" Suddenly South Dakota slammed the brakes, sending Minneapolis's face flying into the back of the front seat.

"If you ever talk about Okie like that again I'll beat your stern myself!" The car was silent when someone started sobbing lightly.

"I'm s-sorry, I don't really have a place to stay or clean m-my clothes on the dock and I-I-I was so happy I came right back without thinking." The blonde wiped her smiling face sadly as Minneapolis just stared at the girl.

"You still don't know who this girl is, do you?"

South Dakota gripped the steering wheel angrily as the blonde shook her head.

"It's okay South, let's just get to the cabin okay?" Oklahoma said with complete embarrassment, rolling her window all the way down and leaned halfway out of it.

The rest of the car ride went uneventfully, as only Oklahoma and South Dakota barely made small talk up front.

Soon South Dakota pulled up to the cabin as she put the car in park and turned off the engine.

The three ship girls climbed out of the car, when Minneapolis slowly walked away from the car and into the woods.

"Where are you going?" South Dakota asked as Minneapolis continued to walk away.

"Out, and don't worry... I'll smell my way back." Oklahoma winced at the comment, knowing it was directed at her.

"Just go inside Okie, up the stairs, second door on the right and use the room just across from it, okay? I'll unload the car." The dirty yardie nodded, walked inside and up the stairs.

The three went about their business alone as they all had a lot on their minds...
