The barbecue was over and it was now time for us to leave, I was in the room packing my stuff after being constantly hugged by Bokuto, ah that was so embarrassing, crying right in front of everyone. I look up when I saw a pair of hands helping me pack my stuff for me, it was Sugawara. He didn't say anything but softly smile at me, I thought he had already left with the others.

"Doing okay?" He help me fold my shirt while I was focused on putting them in my bag.

"Yeah...Just got emotional all of a sudden" I zip the bag close. We both stare at each for a brief moment, it always feels nice talking to you Sugawara.

"Well I'll be waiting with the others. Hurry up okay?" I nod as I watch him close the door after leaving. My smile slowly fade away when I remembered the words Kuroo said to me.

"I know you have potential ducky. You just don't want to let it go wild, don't you think it's unfair when your team is trying their all while you're just there because your supposed to?" I run my hand through my hair as I let out a frustrated sigh.

I can't believe I've been treating them so unfairly after all these months, the worse thing is that I didn't even know. They are always there for me while I just see them as people who I just know and have to work with. They have helped me go through so much and yet...and yet I didn't repay their kindness. I grab my bag and ran down the stairs...But I can still make it right...

I ran past Akaashi and Bokuto who were startled to see me in a hurry. I almost tripped when running towards the others, they were all casually headed to the van. Its not too late to change everything, I still have a lot of time to prove to them that I'm also a crow. Not a Jackdaw trying to fit in with them, I stood in their way and they all look at me confusingly.

"Yamada? Were you afraid that we'll leave you—?" I was busy catching my breath, I probably shouldn't have ran that fast.

"I'm sorry!" I interrupted Daichi by bowing, the others were all surprised.

"Wh-Why are you apologising?" Asahi step forward and tried to make me stood up straight but I didn't budge when he gently place his hand on my back.

"I want to apologise for never appreciating what you guys have done for me. Taking care of me and giving me the support whenever I need it, it just, it feels unfair when I don't repay the favour" I was still bowing so I could only see their feet instead of their faces.

"And that's why, I promise you guys that we will win every match we get to face in the future, because I'll be there to keep all the balls in the court. So spike it until we get the score!" I lift my head and saw them all grinning at me.

"The way you say it...It makes me excited!" Hinata hang his fist towards the sky and Kageyama and Tsukishima stare at him blankly.

"I mean it" I lock eyes with Daichi and he nod with a smirk.

We said our goodbyes to the other teams before leaving. It's a shame the away games are now over but I look forward to the near future. Just like Sensei said, we still have a lot more space to improve. I sat near the window with Asahi sitting beside me. During my time here, I've changed quite a lot and hopefully the same goes to my skills.

We arrived back at the gym at midnight and we all said goodnight to each other before walking home. Kageyama and Hinata insisted on walking me home, I couldn't deny it because it's been so long since the three of us got to walk together. I was walking between them and it feels safer having them with me, now I don't have to worry about fainting midway or anything worse.

"You've been acting weird lately, something bugging you?" Kageyama wrap his arm around my shoulder and that caught Hinata's attention.

"I uh" Hinata suddenly wrap his arm around my waist and I nervously smile into the distance, are they being competitive again?
