Somehow we both made it through finals. I thought it was funny. He passed out in the kitchen one night because I was making him talk to me about something while I got all my papers sorted. It was kind of cute until he fell off the chair. I started laughing, but Stan was there to lick his wounds.
"That's it. I'm going to bed. Goodnight Scar." He kissed my forehead and started to our room.
"Night babe. Love you."
But honestly, finals had nothing on wedding season. All my friends turned into some sort of monster when they were getting married. Taylor would be the only one after this year and I'm pretty sure she's going to be the one that never gets married and just travels the world. Or at least that's what she's been doing lately since Katie moved in with her fiance.
It was the morning of her wedding and I wanted to do anything except for get ready so that's what I did. It's not like I disapproved this wedding, I just would rather sing and put on my own burlesque show.
I liked to think I sounded like Christina Aguilera.
But eventually Robert convinced me to put on my dress, which was weird considering he usually wanted me to take it off, and then I got ready.
"Weddings aren't worth it unless they're your own." I whined as Robert zipped up my dress. "Even then it's kind of iffy."
"It's really what comes after the wedding that matters."
"Exactly." I kissed his cheek and put on the ungodly shoes that Katie was making us wear. Like come on, this shade of green is not my color and heels are not my thing. I was nice with my bridesmaids dresses. Katie wanted to make sure she was the prettiest person in the room and I was really glad I wasn't standing next to her. "We've been to a lot of weddings together."
"Too many." He laughed, handing me my phone and the bag I had packed.
"This one has an open bar."
"Oh good. Drunk Scarlett in heels. Now not only is a broken arm a risk, but so is a broken leg."
"Whatever, just get in the car."
Just like every other wedding I've been in, there was an overkill of photos. By the end of it, I was ready to hit the bar. Unfortunately, I had to walk down the aisle with Katie's fiance's handsy brother. The huge rock on my finger didn't tip him off, I wonder if I can casually mention that my husband is 6'4" and rarely loses a fight, he'll back off.
"I have a room at the Hampton, how about you come over later?" He's got to be kidding, right?
"How about you meet my husband? I'm sure he'll love to meet you." He wasn't able to say anything else before we had to start walking. I'm almost positive he would say something at the reception. It Robert left me alone long enough.
The ceremony was longer than I had anticipated. I had to pee like ten minutes into it and every time I looked to Robert, he made faces at me. I tried not to laugh, but I did. So Katie's cousin decided to elbow me. I might have been kinda loud when she hit me, but at least I didn't call her a bitch. I mean, there was that.
After all the wedding festivities, everyone was free to drink and dance. It didn't take as much convincing as the last time, but Robert still didn't want to dance.
"Fine, fine. I guess we can dance." Ahh. I'm glad my husband is so willing to dance with me at my friend's wedding.
"Oh gee. Thanks. I appreciate it."
"I'm sure you do." He spun me around and pulled me in towards him. I rested my head on his chest, letting him lead. "I want you for worse or for better I will wait for ever and ever. Broke your heart, I'll put it back together."
