Jack's P.O.V
I didn't mean to anger her. I just wondered aloud. After I had gotten mad, of course.
We were sitting at a restaurant, thankfully not McDonald's. Sarah was talking about a new job she applied for, but still, letting me talk some.
She stopped talking about the job and started talking about Ash and Trevor.
"Who are they?" I looked at her.
"No one,"
"C'mon! Please?"
"No one," I said again.
"Are they your children?" This needed a response. I was getting angrier and angrier.
"Nope,"
"Please? I wanna know who they are!"
"They're no one."
"You sure they aren't your children?" She asked. If only, Sarah.
"Pretty sure. Although maybe if I had gone out with Jess, and married her they would have been."
Ok, so maybe I did say it to anger her...
She stood up.
"Just when I thought you had changed from being the 'I need popularity' guy to the 'I'm fine. My life doesn't need everyone to love me' guy, you talk about how you wish you married Jess.
Then go on back to her. Get her to sign your 'alibi'! Go back to the children you claim aren't your children. Go back to your football field. It's all you ever cared about!"
She stormed away, but not before she ripped up the alibi.
"Sarah!" I wish I had changed. I wish I didn't need popularity. And maybe I had changed. Maybe one day, I could show it.
I would have gone to football practice. That always cleared my mind. But I had been temporarily suspended from the team until they found out who murdered Julie. Because, you know, the whole 'she was the coach's daughter!' thing.
I sighed and walked over to my car. If only...
A/N: In case you were wondering, Jack and Sarah were not on a date, Sarah just came to get the money Jack promised her. (and she didn't rip that up lol) The alibi was only on the table because Jack told Sarah to actually read it.
Sarah's P.O.V
I don't know why I stormed off. I didn't like Jack anyway, so who cares who he wants to marry? Who cares that he keeps lying about Ash and Trevor being his kids? Not me.
I removed myself from the couch and walked into the kitchen. I saw my twins stuffing themselves with candy. I looked at my watch.
"Angel! Noah! It's ten pm! What are you still doing awake?"
Angel looked up at me.
"Sowy Mowy. Whe whewe huwgy," she slurred.
I picked up my children and set them in bed.
"Go to sleep now," I whispered. I went back into the kitchen to clean up all the candy on the floor.
I decided I would go to bed early, seeing I had nothing else to do.
*********
I woke up to a banging on my front door. I looked at my clock.
"What the hell?"
I sighed but got out of bed. I threw on a hoodie and some yoga pants.
I never in a million billion years expected to see what I saw on my front step...
Jack's P.O.V
People were swarming around the street. One girl looked so sad as if she would burst into tears. I approached her.
"Darling, what is your name?" I asked her.
"Loca," she whimpered.
"Where are your parents?"
"Gone," She looked to be part Asian, maybe tweleve years old?
"Come with me. I'm sure we can find your parents,"
She shook her head.
"My parents are dead." She whispered.
"Oh. Well, I know someone who would love to meet you." I stood up and took Loca's hand.
Sarah's P.O.V
"I knew it, Jack," I said calmly, referring to the shy girl standing next to him.
"What? You knew I would pick up an orphan and want you to meet her?"
I looked closely at the girl and sighed.
"I can take her. It would be nice to have someone help with the kids. Loca, would you like to stay with me?"
She nodded. Jack set her down and left.
"Loca, meet my twins, Angel and Noah. Angel and Noah, meet Loca," Loca was instantly on her knees, playing with them.
"You are a good parent. My mother would never feed me or take care of me this well." Loca said.
I smiled. Maybe she was right. Maybe I was a good parent, compared to the rest of the bad ones out there. Maybe I needed Loca as much as she needed me.
A/N: I have re-written this three times, as Wattpad would not save it. I am sorry it is short, but I wanted Sarah to get more self-confident, and this might affect the next chapters. Sorry, this is only 800 words, instead of my usually 900 or 1k.
