A/N: Let's talk. Y'all got any hot takes or unpopular opinions about anime or manga? I'm genuinely curious. Here's one of mine, out of all the dere anime types, I hate tsundere so much. But I love yandere. I don't know what that says about me as a person 😅 And just a quick reminder, please be nice 🥺
When they all got back to school, the coach told them to go home because they still had to go to school the next day and prepare for nationals. (Y/N) was excited to go home and said goodbye to everybody.
Sakusa: Do you want me to walk you home?
(Y/N): It's fine. I'm actually going to find Eri and then walk home with her. We live together.
Sakusa: Okay. I'll see you at school tomorrow.
(Y/N): See ya.
(Y/N) got a text from Eri saying that she was in the gym. (Y/N) was a little confused because she thought Eri would be near the front of the school. But she just shrugged it off and made her way to the gym.
Once she got there, she could hear volleyballs hitting the court. She walked in and saw Eri practicing her serves. Eri was the only one in the gym when (Y/N) arrived.
(Y/N): How long have you been here?
Eri: Maybe like twenty minutes?
(Y/N): Wait, didn't we leave the hotel around the same time?
Eri: Nope. My group left way before you guys because our bus was already at the hotel when we got there.
(Y/N): That makes sense. Well, are you ready to go home? Or do you want to stay here for a little while longer?
Eri: Umm. Two more serves?
(Y/N): That's fine with me.
Eri ended up doing more than two serves. But (Y/N) didn't really mind. After Eri was done, (Y/N) helped her clean up and then they headed home. While they were walking, (Y/N) brought up Bokuto.
(Y/N): So, you and Bokuto?
Eri: Yeahhh, we were texting each other a while ago...
(Y/N): You like him?
Eri: Well, I don't hate him.
(Y/N): You don't need to dodge my questions so much.
Eri: We just met each other and although it's great that he also lives Tokyo, I don't know if we're going to see each other a lot.
(Y/N): True, but you can always hope for the best.
Eri: Yeah, yeah. How about you and Sakusa?
(Y/N): What about us?
Eri: Any progress?
(Y/N): Stop. No. Don't go there.
Eri: How 'bout this, you don't ask me about Bokuto and I won't ask you about Sakusa.
(Y/N): Unless we have something to share.
Eri: Exactly.
(Y/N): I'm down.
Eri and (Y/N) continued walking and talking until they got home. When they got home, they ate the dinner Rio prepared for them and then got ready for bed.
The Next Morning
Eri and (Y/N) ended up walking to school together that morning because there was no volleyball practice. On their walk, (Y/N) got a text.
Eri: Who's that?
(Y/N): Sakusa.
Eri: What does he want?
(Y/N): He's just saying good morning.
(Y/N) then got another text.
(Y/N): Never mind, he wants something.
Eri: And?
(Y/N): He wanted to know if I could meet up with him before class.
Eri: Where?
(Y/N): The garden.
Eri: I'm surprised he wants to meet you outside.
(Y/N): He probably doesn't want to be around others or be approached by girls.
Eri: Girls? I'm pretty sure everybody knows that you guys are dating.
(Y/N): Yeah, but you know how some people can be.
Eri: I feel like he's slowly talking you away from me.
(Y/N): Don't say that.
(Y/N) jokingly pushes Eri to the side. They both laugh and continue making their way to school.
At school, (Y/N) went to the garden while Eri went to her class. When she made it to the garden, she saw Sakusa standing in the middle and looking down at his phone. And of course, he was wearing his face mask.
(Y/N): Sakusa!
Sakusa looked up and moved his face mask down.
(Y/N): Good morning.
Sakusa: Morning.
(Y/N): So, why did you want to meet up?
Sakusa: Breakfast.
Sakusa reached into his bag and pulled out two milk buns. He then handed one over to (Y/N).
(Y/N): Thanks! Do you want to sit down and eat?
Sakusa: No. Everything is wet. I think it rained last night.
(Y/N): ...Do you want to go inside then?
Sakusa: I tried finding a quiet clean area, but everyone was too noisy and messy.
(Y/N): ...
Sakusa: What?
(Y/N): Nothing, you're just making this very difficult.
Sakusa gave (Y/N) a confusing look.
(Y/N): Forget it. Let's just look inside. I bet we'll find something, 'Kay?
Sakusa: Hmm.
(Y/N) and Sakusa walked around and luckily found an empty clubroom.
(Y/N): This spot looks good. I don't think anyone will come by.
(Y/N) walked in and was about to sit, but Sakusa stopped her.
Sakusa: Not yet.
He proceed to take out mini cleaning supplies and cleaned the chairs and table. Once he was done, he looked over at (Y/N).
Sakusa: Now, you can sit.
(Y/N): You really enjoy doing the most.
He then offered (Y/N) some hand sanitizer before she started eating.
(Y/N): So, are you excited about going to nationals?
Sakusa: We still have to make it past the qualifying rounds.
(Y/N): I bet you guys will be fine. There's a lot of strong members on your team.
Sakusa: Even so, you still have to consider the fact that we might lose.
(Y/N): You're being too negative.
Sakusa: No, I'm just being realistic.
