SIXTEEN-BEFORE US

The drive to Za'Niyah's house was awkward,I just focused on the road and nothing more. I looked at the passenger seat and saw Daisy looking at her white painted nails

"Why are you here?" I asked her and looked quickly at her, she sighted and smiled," Brandon.... I'm not a monster, I just want to talk to Za'Niyah," she said and looked out the window

" she's in a fragile mental state, you shouldn't come and say bullshit and expect her to be friends," i said and shook my head

" I'm not saying I want to be her friend!! I'm just saying I want to talk to her," she spat and crossed her arms

" I don't know who you are talking to, I drove us down here! So don't say shit like that," I said and parked

" sorry," she said and scoffed and rolled her eyes, I parked the car at the sidewalk. I took my seatbelt off," please just stay in the car," I said and looked at her," what's you're problem?! I can't go inside and talk to her!?" She spat and folded her arm

I rolled my eyes and sighted," fine," I said and touched my temple

I opened the door and walked out, daisy did the same and smiled

I shook my head while we were walking to the front door, I knocked on the door and immediately it opened up

Ophelia stood there," why is she here?" She asked and pointed at daisy," actually I don't know, I-can we get inside?" I asked and peeked a bit inside and saw her laying on the couch

"fine," she started saying," but she can't get in here, there's a no daisy zone in this house," she said and crossed her arms," what the fuck?! I haven't done anything for her to hate me," daisy said and folded her arms and have this angry look on her face

" I'm sorry but that's the rule, so do you wanna get in or go with that bag of potatoes?" She asked,

I looked at daisy, she just turned her head around and looked at the ground," ten minutes," I said and walked inside

I took my shoes off and walked to the couch, I saw her with her back faced to me," Za'Niyah ?" I asked and touched her hip," you again?!"

I looked up and saw her big brother

" zain right?" I chuckled and pointed at him,"what are you doing in here?" He asked and walked over to Za'Niyah," I called Ophelia and said that Za'Niyahs car still was in the school's parking lot, and I know how much she loves that car so I drove it over here," I said kinda fast

I was not scared of zain but he is definitely bigger and stronger then me, he is a professional basketball player

" okay, you can leave now," he said and folded his arms," uh Ophelia? Can I talk to you for a bit?" I asked her, she nodded and we walked into their kitchen

" what happened with her?" I asked and looked at the couch

" dunno I was going to the bathroom because she had been there for a while, and when I got there Devon was there and stuff.." she kept talking but it faded out

So Devon was in there and didn't call for help or anything?What happened to her? She used to be a supportive friend and now she's a stick in the mud who doesn't care about others

" ...and now I'm just staying over until she wakes up and then we are getting her to the hospital," Ophelia said and crossed her arms," can you please call me if anything else happens over the night or anything?" I asked her and placed my hand on her shoulder

" of course, I better get back...see you later," she said and walked out of the kitchen and to the living room

I nodded and walked out to the front door, I took my shoes on and opened the door

Outside was daisy and the whole gang in the car," daisy called..." said Freddie

I just opened the door and took my seatbelt on

When I heard the car drove away I opened my eyes and looked down at the fuzzy blanket," Ophelia?" I said and looked around," Za!! You're up! How are you feeling?do you need anything? Water? Iced tee? Orange juice? Gre-" " I'm okay!" I said and interrupted her

" where's zain?" I asked and sat down," he's out to buy some ice cream, or something," Ophelia said sat down next to me," was Brandon here?" I asked and looked at her," uhhh yeah, and daisy...BUT! I said to him that this house was a daisy free zone so she waited outside," she said

" why was she even here?" I asked and looked at my nails,"dunno but there's nothing going on between them," she said and laughed

" why would you say that?! now that's the only thing I can think of," I said and threw my hands down dramatically

" Za'Niyah Anastasia Scott, there's absolutely nothing going on with Brandon and daisy! The kinda hate each other but they are in the same friend group," she said and tried to convince me that nothing happened between Brandon and daisy

" Ophelia...I'm sick and tired of playing this game, who likes who, and all that bullshit! If he's not with me then that's fine by me," I said and folded my arms

" Za, I know that this month has been hard on you, but I talked to Brandon and he said that he wants to talk to you," she said and scooted closer to me," I know that he likes you a lot, just don't mess it up with being a stressful Za'Niyah," she said and laughed

" I-" she looked at me with her brown eyes like' do not say another word' and I didn't

" good, zain said that after he comes back he's taking you to the hospital. Just for a check up,"Ophelia said

" can we just skip this time...I feel better," I lied

In fact I haven't been feeling good, I get small panic attacks every time I walk into that school. I try to keep it inside but after that bathroom...thing

I have been out of it, I just wished I could know who did this to me....
