I felt like posting this one early, so enjoy!

The arena was almost a perfect replica of the Coliseum, only more intact and ready for combat.

There were a few small groups in the arena, some were fighting, while some were chatting, most likely about their weapons of choice.

Charlotte did not know them, but she was almost positive that they knew her.

Suddenly, Charlotte spotted a face she recognized right away. Hazel.

Her golden eyes trailed across the arena. They lit up when she saw her.

"Charlotte!" she waved, as she ran over to her. "Couldn't sleep?" she asked.

"Oh, not really. A little too worked up," she stuttered.

Hazel nodded, as though she understood.

"Then welcome to the Coliseum!" she exclaimed. "Let's find you a suitable weapon."

Hazel led Charlotte to a semi-large chamber, full of all the equipment under the sun.

The walls were covered in all sorts of weapons, some that she did not even recognize, while large chests of items sat around the ground. It reminded Charlotte of a gigantic treasure room, but with weapons instead of coins and gems.

"Take your pick," she smiled, proudly.

Charlotte walked over to a wall of weapons. She traced her hand over multiple different mechanisms and blades, but something drew her to the swords. She always trained with them with Lupa.

Charlotte picked up multiple swords, but none of them seemed balanced in her hand.

"Having trouble?" Hazel asked.

Charlotte frowned. "I just can't find a balanced one."

Hazel surveyed the swords. "Hmm. Let's keep digging around. There's got to be something here."

The two kept searching the crates and testing the swords out, but none of them were to Charlotte's liking.

Eventually, Charlotte came across a strange, skinny box. It was covered in cobwebs and dust. She brushed them off and looked at it.

It was a beautiful, mahogany box with bronze studs along the sides and the letters 'SPQR' carved in gold leaf on the top. The box was sealed by two silver latches that were covered in rust. The box obviously had not been opened in years, maybe even decades.

"What is that?" Hazel asked, noticing the box.

Charlotte stared at it. "I'm...not sure."

She carefully flipped open the latches and cautiously opened the box.

Inside was a beautiful, shimmering, double-edged sword, made of Imperial gold. The hilt was beautifully made with golden studs and a leather wrap as the grip. The sword was roughly three feet long.

Charlotte's eyes widened at the shining weapon.

"Woah," Hazel gasped.

Charlotte carefully picked up the blade.

It was perfectly balanced, almost as though it was made for her.

Gladio, she said the name of her new sword in her head.

Charlotte couldn't help but smile at the work of art.

"How's it feel?" Hazel asked.

"Perfect," Charlotte breathed.
