The outside of the principia was crowded with demigods. Almost the entire camp was there.
Charlotte quietly walked in the crowd, keeping her head down. She was not sure if people were scared of her or not.
She winced at the thought of it. Her entire reputation was ruined.
The crowd's talk was cut short by the Praetors walking out of the principia.
"Welcome, demigods!" Frank called. "Today we are here to officially announce the newest members of the Legion!"
The crowds cheered.
"But," Reyna cut their cheering off. "Before we do that, we would like to address something."
Charlotte looked up. There was no way-
"I'm sure you all have heard of the incident that occurred at the Coliseum the other day," Reyna continued. "The monster that caused that was not one of us. Although it may have looked that way, it was caused by an eidolon."
The crowd gasped.
"So, we hold no one to blame and everyone is safe now," Frank finished.
The crowd applauded the Praetors.
Charlotte sighed in relief.
"Char Hrobsky, Daughter of Apollo. Please step forward," Frank announced.
Charlotte stood on her toes to get a better view of Char.
"Welcome to the Legion," he said to her as he pressed a metal engraving onto her wrist.
"Charlotte Benson, Daughter of Jupiter. Please step forward," Reyna said loudly, her voice carrying over the entire crowd.
The demigods parted for her as she walked to the Praetors.
Reyna took her wrist and pressed a burning metal engraving onto her skin.
Charlotte winced, trying not to flinch at the sizzling metal.
When Reyna removed the engraving, it revealed an eagle with one dash underneath it to symbolize her years at camp.
"Welcome to the Legion!" Reyna smiled as the crowds engulfed both of the demigods with cheers and applause.
Both Char and Charlotte were lifted up on the crowd's shoulders while the crowd chanted 'Senatus Populusque Romanus!'
The two of them exchanged joyful looks.
They were finally at their true home.
