"Hello. You have reached Keirstine Samonte's voicemail. Unfortunately, I cannot take your call right now, but I would like to return it as soon as I can. So please leave me a message after the beep."

*beep*

Kas please pick up. I'm so confused right now. Please, I need you.

*teet teet teet*

"F*ck!" I blurted out as I grip my phone tightly. What am I going to do?

"Wait for Kas or go? Wait for Kas or go?" I kept pacing to and fro as I glance out the window every now and then waiting for Kas to show up any minute. I got the key to the company's old storage room but I also got an important question for Kas before I planned on heading to my company.

I got a really strong feeling that I should ask Kas this question today or else I wouldn't be able to ask it sooner or later. Chickened out? I don't think so. It's far more serious than that. I don't want to assume things but I can't really tell what am I to her without hearing her answers yet. I need to be sure this time. It's now or never.

"Please Kas, answer your phone!" I kept on dialing her number but my messages got straight to her voicemail.

I tried again but with no luck, another call was missed. I immediately grabbed my keys and head to the door. As much as I wanted to go to Kas, I just can't because I haven't asked where in Lexington is she exactly. How stupid of me!

I started the car and made it roar in a quiet environment. I was speeding fast while being careful at the same time which is somewhat manageable. But glancing every now and then on my phone is another story.

I even almost bumped a black kitten for Pete's sake! Good thing my reflex is fast, Whew!

After a few minutes, I have arrived at the upper basement parking of my company. I parked my car in a reserved area. It was near a blinkering light attempting to go off soon. Maybe it can still hold a night before it needs changing. I turned off the car and got out. It was almost nine in the evening and the atmosphere here seems cold and eerie. I noticed two more cars from the far right end of the parking space. I know the owner of the white Honda accord but who could have own that black Lexus LS car?

Shoving those questions away I headed to the elevator and pressed B2 to the lower basement. It was where Mr. Davis had taken me. I had gone to the usual turns we took the last time before arriving at the door of the old storage room where the keyholes are waiting for keys that I was holding.

I was about to insert the key when I've got a certain feeling that someone was watching me. That's when I recalled one of the secret writings on the wall.

Someone is watching your every move!

Sh*t!

Should I go inside and hide? Or retreat? What if he was just outside waiting for me to come out before he'll kill me?

Tsk! I've got no choice.

I immediately inserted the keys and as I turned it, it created a clinking sound. As I inserted the last key, the door slightly opened. I pushed it and let myself through.

I have greeted the dusty shelves full of files and papers. Stacks of boxes almost filled up the room. On one corner of the room, an old mahogany desk can be seen.

"Is it just me or that desk is really the same as the table in my office?" I took a closer look, walking through the midst of boxes and papers. When I was almost a foot away from the table, I tripped. I grasped the end of the table to prevent myself from falling.

*booogsh*

But I seem to be unfortunate today; the sidewall of the table detached and I went straight to one of the boxes. Arghh! Does that black kitten brought bad luck or I am not just a lucky person?
