After spending time with my family, I started managing my time effectively. Whenever I'm at work, I focused on what I need to do within the vicinity. Now that I have allies, Mr. Villafuerte and Mr. Davis, the long-time security personnel of the company, the investigation had been smooth. I have a couple of evidence I collected from our suspects but lately, I've been focusing on one particular person.

It's hard to keep a façade especially because he is in a close approximate with me. I need to watch my every moves so that he won't notice a thing. I have a record of his conversation over a phone one time when he is in the secluded emergency stairs and I was so nervous back then. But I acted realistically. It happened after the holidays were over. He seems shocked and I saw how his hands shook as he grips on his phone.

After that incident, everything lies low. I haven't seen him back on that secluded area and Mr. Villafuerte had reported that the robberies had stopped.

After seven months, nothing had happened. I can't open the investigation again and accused someone just because of my allegations without proofs. I only have shreds of evidence that are weak and it may seem like nothing at all, but I know that it was something.

So I decided to leave it, but I am still vigilant with my surroundings.

In September, Nick came back from his trip to Asia. For a year, I haven't seen him. We have contact but it is too seldom because of our works. I have met Martin, too, over dinner. Kas met him in the hospital where Martha is currently admitted, and invited him for dinner as a celebration after we heard that he passed his exam as a neurosurgeon. I tried to separate my personal life from my work but as the start of the last month of the year came, everything came back again. For the third time.

Mr. Villafuerte started sending me reports again. This time, another account was involved. We are starting the whole investigation again, just the three of us. This time, there are a lot of employees on the suspects' list but we can't still sue them.

It is already December, more than a year of investigation, and we're making bolder moves. We started planting bugs which Mr. Villafuerte got from his hacker friend. I met his friend once and had a closed-door meeting with him. He accepts my deal in return for his help.

We're gathering evidence that may seem impossible because their actions are finer and careful. And it is becoming stressful day by day.

Until one day...

I overheard Mr. Saavedra, and he already knows about the bug. Shit!

Days after that, I started receiving threats, death threats. So I sort out everything I needed to do.

As much as possible, I wanted my family out of this mess.

I started hiding the pieces of evidence I have at hand. With the help of Mr. Davis, we changed my desk over the night with almost the exact desk. We store it in the old storage room and I hid the keys away.

With each day, I felt something strange as I come to work. So I decided to write my will, a legal appointment of Mr. Villafuerte and Mr. Saavedra, and a confession letter with the mention of the evidence I had stored. I heighten our house's security and even in the hospital, I had contacted someone to watch over those places.

And my most fearful day happened.

As I was indulging in reading some reports piled up on my desk, I felt my neck cramps. I have a lot of pending documents to review and need my signature so I am rushing myself.

It is already past eight o'clock and my employees had started leaving. The Year-End Stakeholder's Meeting yesterday had been a disaster. The company's stakeholders had started withdrawing because of the great loss we had experienced. They are losing their trust in our company and the meeting had become heated.
