I don't know how long I stayed there in the wooden port admiring the sea. Breathing in the salty air and watching the birds soar high against the blue sky with puffs of clouds. It just gave me peace at the moment like this.

Moments where I don't know how to react anymore or how to feel. I just wish that when I came back up to the resort lobby again, I don't get the chance to meet her. That is if what I saw earlier is not a dream.

I just hope that it is.

When my stomach began to grumble and the heat seems too hot to bear, I decided to head back.

I may look like freaking crazy right now as I'm turning my head and scanning the whole place but I could care less.

Upon reaching my room, I decided to just call the room service and had my food delivered.

It's not that I'm scared of confirming if she was real but I just don't know how to act anymore. What will I say then? A 'Hi. Long time no see.' speech? Pft. Am I gonna pretend that nothing happens? Pretend that I didn't care if she left me and didn't contact me at all. Can I do that?

My haywire thought was interrupted by a soft knock. It must be the food. I'm famished!

"Coming."

"Your food, Mr. Col--- Ash?" My eyes widened but not as wide as hers when she saw me. Why of all people in this damn resort did she end up delivering my food? What should I do?

"Yeah, that's me and I'm hungry." I suddenly grabbed the whole tray and closed the door behind immediately. God!

I hurriedly went to the dining area of the room and open my playlist. I played loud music and the booming sounds resonated in the whole room. But I can still hear the soft knocks.

After that encounter, I decided to doze off to bed. As I woke up, it was already 2 in the afternoon. I only got a day here in this paradise and I've got to make the most of it. So I decided to do some activities, swimming and snorkeling. After the session, I was already tired but happy. So I decided to doze off again in the hammock by the beach.

There were lots of trees that gave me shades that I didn't notice the time and when I wake up, the sun was already setting on the horizon.

I sat in the fine sand and was admiring the whole wonder.

"Hey."

Looks like the peaceful time ran out.

Without looking back. I mumbled a low 'hey'.

"The sunset is beautiful today, right?" She said as she sat, a few meters away from me but enough to be heard.

I just stayed silent. Trying so hard not to say something offensive as I am holding myself in.

"For someone, it may remind them that another hurtful day had gone by. And maybe tomorrow, something good will come." she paused and I felt her look at me. But I still had my eyes fixed ahead.

"For others, it may remind them that another happy day may end and tomorrow, worse will come." she's playing with the sand in her hands as if she's an hourglass and the sands were the time waiting to fall endlessly back to the ground. "What about you, what does it mean to you?"

I'm contemplating on if I will answer or not. She won't care about how I feel anyway, then why would she asks me that.

"Which are you?" I asked while looking at her eyes.

She seems shocked by the sudden question and she looked at me, meeting my eyes. Before she composes herself and smiled.

"It means I've got to have another shot for tomorrow to be better. If not today."
