Chapter 17

I replay todays events in my mind as I think of Xander and Mason and the mall, and, practically everything. I sigh laying on my bed exhausted.

Mason is nice and sweet and kind of protective but I mean I've only went out on one date with him. Well maybe two, if you count the mall a date.

Xander was there for me all the time and now that I'm back, its different. Everything has changed. I just don't know what to think right now.

I end up falling asleep after all my tossing and turning trying to find a comfortable position, for me, in my bed.

I wake up in the morning to put on my Seattle short and a red skirt as well as my white wedges and some make up. I soon get to school and I see Mason and Maddy talking.

Hmm weird.

I soon find Xander and walk up to him.

" Hey! Hows it been going lately? " I say smiling.

" Great! You? "

" Yeah great, same old same- "I was cut off by Mason wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me away from Xander.

" What did you do that for? " I ask hiding my anger.

" I just don't want you to talk to him. If we are going to go out, I dont want you near him. " he looks at me sternly.

" No way! He's my best friend I've known him since birth! You can't control me. " I storm off as the bell rings.

I walk outside, about to walk home from school, when i hear cheering coming from the field. I walk over there and I see Mason fighting Xander. My eyes well up with tears and I gasp making Xander see me and Mason punched him while he was distracted.

I ran over to them and grabbed Mason's wrist and flipped him on his back twisting his arms in a position where, if I move it a certain way, will snap in an instant.

" DONT YOU EVER! I MEAN EVER! TOUCH MY XANDER EVER AGAIN OR I CAN SNAP YOUR TWIGS FOR ARMS OFF RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW! " I spat in his face getting up and racing to Xander.

" Will you be alright? " I say examine the damage.

" Yeah just a black eye and some bruises no biggie. " I let out a breath of relief.

I was at Amanda's watching TV when the door bell rang.

" Look what the cat dragged in. " I hear Amanda say, venom dripping from her words. I peek over from the couch to see Alex. I leap over to see Alex at the doorway and i cross my arms glaring at him.

" What do you want? " I sneered.

" I wanted to apologize to Amanda. "

I scoff. " Yeah sure. " I mumble under my breath rolling my eyes.

" Look I'm really sorry and I dont know what to think. I'm really sorry. I-I dont know what to say. Cause I'm not going to make an excuse for why I wasn't with her, because I was. But I'm just really sorry Amanda. I-I just hope I will be forgiven. We dont have to be friends or date again but I just wanted to let you know I'm so very sorr- " he was cute off by Amanda kissing him.

I just watched them with wide eyes. He is so playing her! I want to tell her but I dont have the heart. I can't believe she didn't see the fake ness in his eyes. He was so lying. But I'll just have to " talk " with him later.

" Ok ok now are you coming in or what Alex? Its getting cold. "

" Oh no I have to be somewhere, but thanks for the offer. " he says waving goodbye.

Jerk. He's probably going to run off to Maddy. Ugh.

Me and Amanda head up to her room and watch a marathon of The Walking Dead and we fell asleep.
