Chapter 16: Just hear me out

I'm sitting in the family room watching tv waiting for....I actually didn't catch his name...huh I guess I'll have to ask him about that. Well anyway I'm waiting for that guy I'm supposed to go on a date with, to pick me up. I have 6 minutes. I hear the door bell ring and the guy stands in my doorway.

Now that I got a better look at him, he's actually pretty cute. He has Brown hair, Hazel eyes, beautiful jawline and nice full, pink lips that any girl would be dying to kiss.

" I didn't catch your name. " I say walking with him to his car.

" Mason. " is all he says.

" Nice name. And I could only assume you know mine? " I stare at his beautiful self.

" Yep, Emilie Storm. "

We arrived at the movie theatre and we get tickets to watch a horror movie. God I hate horror movies. They scare the jeepers out of me. We get out seats and I sip my soda and I lay across the theatre seats sitting my bum in one, and resting my feet on the other. I rest my head agaisnt Masons should and he wraps his arm around me, his hands resting right on top of the necklace I put on.

The movie starts and I get scared at this one part and yell " HOLY BUTTERNUT " and accidentally throw my drink on top of some person behind me. They curse at me and just leave the theatre.

" Oopsie. " I say laughing and I then situate myself on Mason's lap.

He wraps his arms around my waist pulls me closer to him. I get scared again and jump. I hide my face in his chest. And he just smirks and hugs me tight taking some kind of sick enjoyment out of this movie.

" Calm down babe, its just a movie, no one is gonna hurt you. " he says suppressing a laugh.

I whimper and just cuddle into his lap. He smells so amazing, like strawberries and banana.

" Thank you. " I turn red in embarrassment.

" D-Did I say that out loud? "

" Yeah you did " he laughs.

" Oh " I turn even redder and notice that the theater room is empty and the credits are rolling.

" Looks like we missed the movie. " I stare at his mesmerizing hazel eyes. He leans in to kiss me and I close the gap. This felt wrong, and I knew it. But I put that in the back of my head and kept snogging him for a few minutes before we went back to the lobby.

He drives me home and walks me up to my front porch.

" Thanks for tonight. It was fun. And thanks for paying and all." I say nervously and look at ground and play with my purse.

" No problem. We should do that again some time. " he says tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear.

" We should. " he stars into my eyes and we say our goodbyes and I close the door behind me when I get inside my house and slide down the door.

" What am I getting myself into here? " I sigh.

I wake up to see someone in my bedroom. I scream and fall off my bed. I notice that it was just a poster that I have hung up in my room. I go to the washroom and take a quick shower and get dressed in a cute little Baby blue dress. I put on my purple vans and Then my purse rings. I take my phone from my back pocket and see that I have a text.

Hang out with me today? xx -Mason

Sure. I was planning on going to the mall, wanna come? ;) - Emilie

Ok pick you up in 10? - Mason

I put my phone back in my purse and wait for Mason to arrive. Once we got to the mall, I made him go into Victoria Secret with me and i try on some things-but of course I don't let him see- and I make my purchases. We look at a few more stores and then we hit the food court. We get some pizza and start chowing down when I see Xander had just arrived in the food court. Me and him lock eyes and I just look back at the table finish my pizza. Mason wanted to check out the store, ' Spencer's ', and I've done my research to know that is a very.....' Different ' kind of store so I decided to stay back and just wait for him.

I hear a chair squeak and I see someone sitting next to me burning their gaze into my skull. I see its Xander and sigh.

" Hi Xander " I say, slightly annoyed.

" Can we please talk? " he says looking into my sparkly blue eyes.

" Fine. Talk. " I cross my arms and lay back in my chair and listen.

" Ok, I'm sorry for what happened I-I didn't mean to hurt you, you know I would never want to hurt you right? " I bob my head, only half listening.

" Well she came on me and I tried pushing her away but she held me so I couldn't move. I'm sorry I don't like her, I promise. " he pleads and pleads.

" Did you kiss her back? "

He seems confused by my words and is for once, speechless.

" Emilie, ready to go? " Mason says scaring me since I didn't know he was there. His eyes flicker to Xander and look back at me and his face looks like he's asking me if he is bothering me or if he's cool.

I shake my head saying no.

" Lets go Emilie, your mom is probably wanting you home now. " he says grabbing my wrist and interlacing our fingers as we walk away.

And as we do, in the corner of my eye, I see Xander fuming.

' Perfect ' I think to myself.
