Chapter 3

~Emilie's POV~
*next morning*

I was walking through the hallway to my fourth period taking the " long way " as I call it. I only go that way because I get to see Xander.

I spot him down the hallway and I find him laughing with his friends. I look at him and he turns to look at me. I quickly look away with my cheeks turning pink.

I was walking home and stopped at the library on the way. I need to get a book for my English report. Its due Next Friday. I sigh and search through all the books on American Literature and bump into someone.

I look up to see Xander staring right at me.

" S-sorry, " I quickly pick up the book that he was holding. We both grab it at the same time, our hands touching, I blush and pull my hand away.

" Its ok, Accidents happen. " He says with that heart warming smile that I love.

" O-ok then " I stand there awkwardly with him watching my every move.

" I guess I'll be going then...." I said awkwardly and start to back away.

" Wait hold on. What's your name? " he asks curiously.

" Emilie, Emilie Storm. " I yell over my shoulder as I walk away, smiling to myself.

~Xander's POV~

I grabbed Maddy's hand and interlaced our fingers. I kissed her cheek and she laid her head on my shoulder.

" I have to get up and find a book for my English class. I'll be back ok sweetheart? " I told Maddy.

" Ok be safe " she replied while on her phone.

I just nodded and headed to the literature book section.

" American Literature, American Literature, American Literature " I mumbled to myself.

" Ah! There it is! " I grab the book off the shelf and turn in the other direction back to Maddy, when i bump into someone and my book falls out of my grip.

" S-Sorry " the stranger says.

I look at the stranger. Its the blonde haired girl! We both pick up the book and our hands touch. She pulls away and I frown.

" Its ok, accidents happen " I say smiling at her.

" O-ok then..." I just watch her beautiful stature as she moves.

" I guess I'll be going then..." She says awkwardly while backing up.

" Wait, whats your name? " I ask curiously.

" Emilie, Emilie Storm " she says over her shoulder walking away.

I stand there watching her.

' Even the way she walks is beautiful. ' I sigh and walk back to Maddy.

I come up behind her and snake my arms around her waist and she jumps. I only chuckle at her actions.

I press my lips on hers. I feel nothing.

' Weird...where did the sparks go? Theres no fireworks. No sparks. No nothing. No feeling. Strange...'

I pull back.

" What was that for? " Maddy asked.

" Oh nothing " I tease.
