One year after

"Ready to go?" Ashton walked out of our apartment, and into the balcony.

"Can I please finish this chapter" I pleaded, not once lifting my eyes from the book I held in my hands.

"Hurry up, I'm hungry." He huffed. "Your always reading something."

I closed the book and stood from my place on our balcony which faced the ocean. "Yeah I know, but when I read, I'm concentrated on that story instead of my own."

"What do you mean? I thought you got past all that since we moved" Ashton asked as his smile fell into a frown. I thought about what he said, and he was right, but I always thought about it.

"I am, but I just wonder, that's all. I mean the others still live next door, I just wonder."

After I had finished school, and was old enough to, Ashton and I bought an apartment in Kent, right near the bay. It was a beautiful, modern little apartment. The walls were painted a creamy shade of grey, with one feature wall in each room that was plain, red brick. Our living room, which joined into the dining area, had a television mounted in the centre of the brick wall, with two floor to ceiling bookcases, made from birch wood. It was magnificent. As for our bedroom, three walls were painted the same creamy grey, with our white linen bead pushed against the brick wall, and one wardrobe on each side of the bed for each of us.

I had got an internship for a local magazine called 'London Now' which specialised in fashion, makeup and celebrities. I went in three days a week, and to me it was like a dream come true. I got paid 370 dollars a week, at the age of 20, to format articles into the magazine pages, and occasionally, read over the articles after the editors had for finalisation.

Marcus finally left his bitchy girlfriend, and he moved away from everything too. Ashton still had to go on tours with the boys, but I stayed home alone, which was fine. It was what I was used to anyway. Even though I know that I'm far away from everything in my past, I still think about it all the time. I just hope that I do get over it, and eventually leave my past life behind."

"So Ash, are you ready for your big day?" Luke asked, fixing Ashton's poorly tied tie.

"Nervous, but yeah"

All four of the boys were currently in Ashton's bedroom getting ready for his and Emma's wedding day.

"See mate, I told you I couldn't wait for your wedding, now it's here!" Calum nudged Ashton in the side, smirking.

"Yeah, you said that was never happening" Michael added as he walked through the door.

Ashton just shrugged. "We should get going now, come on"

Instead of a church, they chose a nice, quiet garden to get married in. Ashton, Luke, Calum and Michael stood up the front, waiting for what felt hours, for Emma to come.

"Calm down Ash" Luke whispered. Up until then, Ashton had no idea how much he was actually shaking.

"I can't, I'm too nervous. What if i've made a mistak-" he whispered back, but was cut of by what he saw, walking towards them. Ashton had had commitment issues in the past, so this was a pretty big deal for him. But the main reason he was nervous was because he didn't want to hurt Emma if he had made the wrong decision. He knew he loved her, but he was still scared.

Everyone stood up as Emma began walking towards them. Ashton swallowed hard at the sight of Emma walking towards us in her beautiful dress that fell freely down her legs, finishing just above her ankles, showing her shoes, that made Ashton wonder how she was possibly walking in them. Emma gave ashton a huge smile, letting him know how excited she was.
