Lynxter - Home is With You

And HERE WE ARE! This ship was a request by TheEverywing!

Now we are coming to the one thing all shippers hate: love triangles! Okay, the one other thing that all shippers hate that might be worse than love triangles are love squares, but we'll get to that later.

And now we have Lynxter! The non-canon ship that sprouted from the time Winter said Lynx's scales were pretty. I mean THAT'S IT!?!? Like, okay, they were good friends as kids and Winter thinks Lynx is pretty and all that and most Moonbli shippers would probably ship this so Winter doesn't get Moon, but it's a pretty popular ship considering how it started.

For me, when it comes to Winter's love life I can never make up my mind. I usually ship Moonbli since it's canon, but I ship Winterwatcher too. I'll talk more about those ones at a different time because now is the time for Lynxter. But, I never know what to ship really. I guess it all depends on who's fanfiction I'm reading or what I'm writing. This one does end up being pretty cute though. Thing is, I don't know much about Lynx's personally because she almost doesn't play any role in the story. But in most fanfictions, she's very sweet and kind, and willing to drop out of the whole rankings for Winter, so I'll go off of that. Hopefully, we'll see more of her in book 14 when it comes out in 2021. When I read it and if she does come I'll probably make a more updated one shot.

I kind of like Lynxter though. Lynx would probably be one of the only friends besides the rest of his Winglet he has to go to since Moon went to Qibli. He felt pretty depressed and I was glad Qibli at least felt guilty about making his friend sad, but in all honesty, Qibli would probably make Moon happy and Winter would have to turn to someone else he knows.

Or just be a single pringle for life. It's an option, Winter.

And now, to the one shot we go! Tally ho! (Okay I don't know what I just did there but "let's go! Tally ho!" is for some reason gonna be stuck in my head till I die)

~Lynx's pov~

I really miss him, Lynx thought sadly. She sighed and closed the window of her room. She knew it was selfish of her, but it was true. She missed her friend. He was out there, exploring the continent, making friends, and living his dream. She, on the other hand, was stuck in the Ice Kingdom and had to act all formal and stuffy because she was a first circle dragonet and first circle dragonets must keep their respect or else they'll drop to be bottom of the rankings and everyone will hate you and you'll be just the scum on their talons blah blah BLAH!!!

But that wasn't Lynx. She HATED being formal. She hated everything about the life of an Icewing. She just wished she was with her friend.

Knock knock.

"Coming!" Lynx shouted and went over to open her door. On the other side was a tall Icewing male. He had a necklace around his neck with three circles, signaling that he was in the third circle. Lynx was glad. Since she was in the first circle, she didn't have to be so stiff and respectful around him, but he did have to bow before talking.

"Did I get a letter?" she asked.

"Yes," the messenger grumbled. He was holding a paper out to her and she took it. Then the dragon left without a word. Lynx slowly closed her door, trying not to make a sound before she squealed with joy and jumped into her bed to read the letter.

Dear Lynx,

Sorry I haven't been talking to you in the last couple of months. I did get your letters and I really loved them, but I got so caught up here at Sanctuary with my work that I could barely find the time to respond. If you're worried I forgot about you, I didn't.
