Moonbli - Stars in the Desert

All you Moonbli shippers probably don't like the last chapter lol, so I'm making it up to you with this one.

Unlike Winterwatcher, Moobli is canon (but for how long? Lol, we must wait for book 14 to come out). I think it's cuter than Winterwatcher because of how silly Qibli is. But, I do think his character is like two people at the same time. He's super observant and serious, especially around newer dragons, but at the same time, he's always making jokes and quips, plus annoying Winter to death 🤣. I think the one thing that would complete his character is if he spent so long thinking of how to propose to Moon like how he kept practicing what to say if she confessed to him, and then he says something silly.

Oh, also, Qibli is always thinking he's not worthy of anything. I like how he's at least modest; not thinking he's so amazing and the smartest dragon alive, but, sadly, he keeps putting himself down because of his criminal past. He's the virtual opposite of Winter except for that personal view of himself.

~Moon's pov~

"I told you, Mom! It's not a date!" Moon rolled her eyes and tried to block all the images that her mother was projecting of her and Qibli. They were at their house in the Rainforest and she was currently getting ready to meet up with Qibli.

"But he's you're boyfriend," she argued.

"I-I guess," Moon said bashfully and blushed.

"And you two are going to a restaurant in Possibility..."

"Right." Moon blushed harder.

"And it's just you two..."

"Mother!" Moon cried. She couldn't take it anymore and clamped her claws to her ears. "LALALALALA CAN'T HEAR YOOOOUUUU!"

"Oh, come on!" Secretkeeper laughed after she pulled Moon's claws off. "I was your age too, you know! Of course, when I was your age our lives were filled with fear from a terrible volcano, but I was once your age nonetheless."

"Well, you didn't have mind-reading powers or a silly boyfriend who's probably paid the restaurant to throw confetti everywhere when I enter," Moon observed.

"Well," her mom started, "if that happens, just be yourself, but go along with it or else he'll feel like you'll be embarrassed whenever he tries to do something special for you."

"Thanks for the dating advice, Mom." Moon rolled her eyes and hugged Secretkeeper. "Love you! See you later."

"Bye!" Her mom waved her off before yelling back at her. "Hey! If he doesn't kiss you before you leave then I'm going to give him a talking to!"

"MOOOOOOM!!!" Moon flew harder towards Possibility and tried to ignore her tomato-red face.

"Finally," Moon sighed when she touched the ground of the city. She walked around and entered the gates before getting a surprise-tackle by a very familiar Sandwing.

"Well, hello to you," Moon said. She turned around and went to snuggle her boyfriend.

"Come on!" Qibli took Moon by her talon and made her walk with him.
