~Bakugo~
Bakugo continued to stare at the picture frame. Deku... that was the green haired boy's name right? What was their relationship? Were they close? They must've been for him to remember Deku but nobody else. But that brought up another question; why did looking at Deku's face stir up such contempt? If they were close why did he want to punch so much as the image of him? It was strange... Bakugo couldn't understand why he felt the way he did, or why he could only remember Deku. Bakugo's spinning head started to pound, and he felt that he should put the photo away. Gently, bakugo set the framed picture back down on the nightstand. He was about to relax back down when he heard a gentle knock at the door. Bakugo's breath hitched. Who was there? Was it the league? Were they finally going to reclaim him? Were they going to throw him right back into that prison? He was never free. He knew that, so why did he let himself believe? He was fucked, hopelessly fucked, he'd never go free. The league was gonna come in and-
"Bakugo?" Huh? Wait... That didn't sound like them. "Bakugo are you alright? Can I come in? It's Aizawa." ...Aizawa? Aizawa is... a hero right? Bakugo slowly tried to steady his breathing, and wiped the tears he didn't realize he had shed. Slowly, the door peeked open. The tired looking man stepped in. Bakugo bit his lip and willed himself to relax. He couldn't place why, but he didn't want this man to see him cry. Aizawa came in and sat next to the bed.
"Hello, Bakugo," He started. "I'm sure you don't want to see anyone right now but I thought I may as well ask. One of your classmates is asking to see you." Bakugo tilted his head, putting a questioning look on his face, trying to ask who? Aizawa seemed to understand and spoke again. "Izuku Midoriya." Bakugo tilted his head again. He had no memories of anyone by the name of Izuku Midoriya. Bakugo lifted up the photo by his bedside, trying to indicate to the teacher to tell him who this 'Midoriya' guy was. Aizawa understood, and took the photo, placing his finger on one of the boys. Bakugo looked. Aizawa was pointing directly at the green haired boy. Bakugo was sure his name was Deku. Was he mistaken? A look of shock and confusion spread in Bakugo's face. Bakugo was frustrated at his inability to speak. He tried again, but ended up simply mouthing the word
"De- ku?" Aizawa understood.
"Yes, you gave him the nickname Deku. Do you remember him?" Bakugo wasn't sure how to answer that. Technically he remembered him, but he didn't have any specific memories of him. Nonetheless, bakugo hesitantly nodded. Aizawa then asked, "Would you like to see him then? He's requesting to see you." Bakugo thought for a moment, but the desire to get back even the tiniest memories outweighed his reservations, so slowly, he nodded. Aizawa nodded back. "I'll go get him then." He said. "We'll be right back." Bakugo watched as Aizawa exited the room, leaving the door open.
A few minutes later, Aizawa returned. He walked in first, and was followed shortly after by the green haired 'Deku' guy.
"H-hey." Deku said, smiling. Bakugo nodded stiffly in greeting, keeping a guarded glare fixed on the boy.
"Should I leave you two be?" AIzawa asked, getting up. Bakugo didn't respond for a moment. He was rather uneasy with the thought of being alone with someone he barely remembered, but then he remembered that he really didn't know Aizawa any better so what difference did it make? Slowly, bakugo nodded his head, and Aizawa left the room, leaving Bakugo and Deku alone together. There was an awkward silence in the air for a few moments, before Deku spoke..
"Um, so how are you feeling?" He asked nervously. Bakugo raised his eyebrows, and just gave Deku a 'really?' look, until he realized. "Oh, um, right, sorry!" Deku apologized. "I forgot you can't answer that..." What a pain.
"Are you feeling okay?" Deku rephrased. Bakugo shrugged. He really wasn't feeling okay, but who just says that? And, for some reason, the idea of this broccoli haired boy seeing his weakness makes him sick. Really, just 'talking' to him made him sick. Bakugo sighed. This would be a long conversation.
~Timeskip brought to you by my last braincell flickering out~
Bakugo had finally gotten Deku to leave, but he had learned a bit. Apparently, this Deku guy was his "childhood friend" but they were rivals now. Deku has some strength enhancing quirk, is a crazy hero fanboy, and can't stop muttering for five seconds. This boy is a real pain to talk to. He had also learned a handful of things about himself, though. He apparently had a group of "friends" that called themselves the "bakusquad". The very idea of it annoyed Bakugo, but he does have the names of his so-called "friends." Apparently his "best friend" was Kirishima, which was likely why he was so broken up about the idea of Bakugo losing his memories. His other friends were apparently some idiots named Kaminari, Ashido, and Sero. He had no clue who those guys were, but he was vaguely curious. Bakugo mentally slapped himself. He had to remember that these people weren't his friends. Everything they told him was fake. He wasn't free. These kids were all with the villains, it was just an elaborate plan to give him hope, only to violently crush it again. He'll never go free.
A knock on the door cut through Bakugo's thoughts. For fucks sake, he had just gotten rid of Deku, what is it now? After a few moments, the door slowly opened, revealing the greaseball that is Aizawa. Bakugo gave him an annoyed glare, but didn't try to stop him from coming in. The tired looking man took a seat at the foot of Bakugo's bed.
"Good afternoon, Bakugo." He said. "Did your conversation with Midoriya go well?" Bakugo shrugged, but then nodded with an annoyed expression. "I see." The man said. "Well, since it went well, we were wondering if you would be willing to go down and meet the rest of your classmates tomorrow?" Bakugo thought for a moment, before nodding hesitantly. What's the worst that could happen?
