Brooklyn P.O.V.

Okay, so maybe I'm a little mad that Dallas didn't tell me but can you blame me? He told me he didn't but he lied which causes my anxiety to spike due to my ex. I try my hardest to shake those thoughts out of my head though, they still linger but I pull into my driveway. I notice that Lizzy is across the street in her front yard looking at her phone. Once she notices me, she smiles and waves. "Hey Brook, how are you?" She yells from across the street.

I walk across the street and smile at her. "Hey, I'm good what about you?" I ask and she shrugs, "Still unpacking. I was just hearing about your dad, I am so sorry," she says but I don't detect sincerity in her voice. I frown slightly but, doesn't she mean I'm sorry for your loss?  "Thanks, Lizzy" I reply, and then her mom calls for her to come inside and unpack. We say our goodbyes and I walk to my house.

After heading to my room and spending way too much time stressing over the homework I decided to take a break and watch something random on Netflix and eat some banana muffins my mom and I made over the weekend. After spending way too much time on Netflix I force myself to finish my homework but I end up calling Cat for help but, we end up talking instead of doing our work. Before Cat ends the call she asks if I want to join her and the boys for dinner at the River-front. I agree and she says that they'll pick me up in an hour, giving me enough time to change and actually do some makeup and something with my hair.

I quickly change into my oversized red sweater that is off one shoulder, a black bralette, and my usual black jeans with my tennis shoes. Then curl my hair and fix my makeup right when I hear a knock on my door. I grab my phone, wallet, and my keys and going downstairs and open the door to find Cat on the other side, "Well don't you look hot. The boys are waiting in the car and I think Dallas might drool when he sees you," she says with a laugh and I join in. I quickly lock the door to the house then get into the backseat next to Dallas who looks over at me and rakes his eyes up and down to take in my appearance. Before he can say anything Cat pipes up, "Doesn't she look hot, Dallas," she asks and he nods, "Yes, yes she does," he replies. During the drive, we make small talk and I take Dallas's hand and intertwine our fingers and I notice the faint smell of smoke on Dallas.

We arrive at the River-front and end up walking around for a while before finding some burger shop to eat at. We all talk about school and how Cat likes it here in America. After dinner, we walk around the surrounding areas of the RIver-front and walk around the Andrew Low House then back to Dawson's car. On the way home, we end up getting ice cream before dropping me off and Dallas walks me to the front door, "You do look beautiful, my love," Dallas says as I unlock the door. I turn and smile at him, "Thank you, you look handsome too," I say with a smile as he leans down and kisses me cheek then kisses my lips softly, "If your mom Is at work tonight can I stay, I want to talk to you," he says and my heart begins to race and I look at him nervously, "Nothing bad I promise, I just feel like we've been fighting a lot," he assures me once he notices how worried I was.

"She's at work or a party I think," I say and he nods then looks at Dawson's car and waves for them to leave. We both walk in and I notice the smell of smoke again, "So, you smoke now," I ask and he looks at me, "Sometimes, I'm still so sorry for not telling you, love," he says sincerely. "I just wish you didn't lie to me, I don't care if you do, sure it's not great for you but, it's your life," I say and wrap my arms around his neck and kisses his cheek, "I love you," I whisper in his ear, "I love you, too," he whispers and wraps his arms around me. We eventually end up upstairs laying in my bed with my head on Dallas's chest, "Are we okay," I whisper after a few minutes and I feel Dallas kiss the top of my head, "Of course we are," he says and I smile as I drift off to sleep.

                                                             Two Weeks Later

It's been two weeks since I went to the river-front for dinner and since then Safia has continued to try and steal Dallas away from me, however, she remains unsuccessful in her advances due to me telling her to "Fuck off" every chance I get and Dallas constant telling her that he is uninterested. I've also noticed Lizzy has been staring at my house quite often while she just sits on her lawn, staring. Almost as if she's waiting for someone or something to walk out of my house. Every time I go to talk to her or ask her why she's staring she doesn't answer, she just goes back inside her house. The cops have also been at her house multiple times but I haven't been able to figure out why.

I'm currently at school in my last class for the day barely paying attention to whatever my teacher is saying, I'm instead looking forward to mine and Dallas's movie night tonight. We haven't had a ton of time alone recently we've been hanging out with Dawson and Cat a lot which is great, I just miss having alone time with my boyfriend where he can hold me and make me feel safe. Which is the opposite of what I'm feeling with Lizzy lurking in every corner, I always see her looking at me during lunch or in the one class we share. The bell rings and everyone quickly grabs their bags and heads out of the room and school. After grabbing some of my books from my locker for homework I head back home.

Once I get home I eat a snack and watch more Netflix, I end up working on my homework for a while when I notice Cat is calling me. "Brooklyn, you need to get over to Dallas and Dawson's right now," she says panicked. I quickly get my things and get into my car and drive to their house while Cat informs me that the police are at their house talking to Dallas with Houston, his lawyer.

Once I get there I notice there are two cop cars. Quickly I get out and knock on the door softly and Dawson opens the door and waves me in silently and leads me upstairs. While we walk up the stairs I look into the kitchen to see Dallas, Angelica, Houston, and Eric sitting at the table talking with two higher up looking officers. Dallas and I make eye contact for a quick moment and he winks before looking back at the officers. Slowly Dawson opens the door to his room. Which has a similar set up to Dallas's room. Cat is sitting on the bed and notice me quickly, "What the hell is happening," I say quietly to Dawson and Cat. They both shrug, "No idea, Houston showed up with them at the same time" Dawson informs me and I nod.

Almost half an hour later of Dawson, Cat, and I talking trying to figure out what's going on there's a knock. Dawson gets up and opens the door to reveal Dallas, with tear-stained cheeks.
"It's over"
