Brooklyn P.O.V.
After I get home I work on putting up almost all the Christmas decorations, I decided to go take a quick shower and wash my hair before Dallas comes over. As I'm brushing my hair someone knocks on my door. When I open it, it reveals Dallas standing there in his jeans and a blacktop. "Hi," He says and I smile. "Hi, what are you doing here?" I ask and move over so Dallas can come and. once he does I close the door and look back at him. "Yeah I did, but Asher missed his girl and I missed mine." He says and I feel the blush on my cheek rise as Dallas smirks at me then quickly looks me up and down to take in my appearance, a pair of black leggings and a cropped hoodie.
"You look beautiful, my love," Dallas says with a smile and I thank him before we walk upstairs. "So, Asher went back to L.A.?" I ask and Dallas shakes his head, "England, apparently, that's where his girl is right now." He says with a shrug and sits on my bed as I finish brushing my hair. After I finish, I join Dallas on my bed as he aimlessly flips through TV stations. "How does it feel to be Nineteen?" I ask and he chuckles, "Not any different from Eighteen." He says and I nod and began to play with my necklace.
Dallas continues to flip through stations as I move close to him and nudge his arm until he looks over at me with a smirk, "Can I help you?" He asks and I nod, "Yes, yes you can by raising that arm so I can be comfortable." I say and he playfully rolls his eyes before lifting his arm so I'm able to lay on his chest as he draws random shapes along my back.
I wake up the next morning to Dallas trying to slip out from under me and I sit up slowly, "What time is it?" I ask and Dallas frowns at me, "I'm sorry for waking you, it's about Six Forty-Five," he says and I sigh while getting up and stretching. "I didn't mean to wake you," he says and I look at him and kiss him on the cheek, "It's okay I should get up anyway, I'm picking Cat up," I say and he nods, "I have to go but, I'll see you at school," he says before quickly kissing my head then my lips and walking out of my room. For the first time in a while, I feel like Dallas and I are okay.
I quickly get dressed in my jeans and throw on one of Dallas's hoodies that I still have. Then quickly eat a breakfast muffin and head to get Cat. After Cat and I have our morning jam session, we go our separate ways to find Dawson and Dallas. Once I find Dallas I notice he's talking to Safia and I walk over to him. Once he notices me a huge smile grows on his face and I see his eyes dart to my hoodie and give me a smirk, "You still stealing things?" he asks and I shake my head, "No, you left this one." I respond and he nods then I look at Safia as Dallas wraps his arm around my waist.
"Hi, I'm Safia. Nice to meet you I just moved here with my family." She says and gives me the fakest smile, "I'm Brooklyn, Dallas's girlfriend," I say with an equally as fake smile, I watch as he face falls slightly before she recovers and looks back at Dallas. "I've heard that there's an Ice rink, we should go sometime," She says and Dallas shakes his head. Right as he goes to respond I pipe up, "Welcome to Georgia, Safia, it's a lovely place to live and there's a lot of single boys but, Dallas however, isn't one of them," I say and Dallas tightens his grip on me as Safia gives me a rude look, "I think Dallas can speak for himself, no?" she says and look up at Dallas, as do I.
"No, I think she covered it," He says with a smirk and looks down at me and kisses my head, "Now I'll you'll excuse us I'm going to walk, my girlfriend to her first class," he says and we both walk away with Dallas's hand still on my hip. I know girls probably flirt with him but at least they don't do it right in front of me. Dallas walks me to my first class and gives me a quick kiss before excusing himself and running to his first class.
My day goes by pretty fast with, luckily, no more run-ins with Safia. I talk to the other new girl, Lizzy, and learn we have some similar interests. During lunch, I sit with Cat, Dawson, and, Dallas and we all talk about how our classes are going. By the end of school, I'm tired and Dawson decides to take Cat home while I head home I notice Dallas by his car...... smoking? I quickly look away once he notices me and I walk faster to my car when Dallas runs right in front of me almost making me fall over him, "You said you didn't smoke." I say and look up at him. He looks away from me, "I'm sorry." he says quietly and I sigh, "You lied." I say quietly and open my door to put my book bag in my car, "I know, I'm sorry. I didn't want you to freakout or something." he says and I look back at him, "You. Lied. I asked you if you smoked at the party and you told me 'No' I don't care, Dallas, but I do care when you lie to me." I say seriously and watch his face fall in shame.
"I don't know why I didn't tell you. I smoked one time at the party, then Asher left a pack so I figured, why not." He says and his eyes are locked on mine, "Please, just tell me next time. That's all I ask," I say with a sigh and he nods, "You're not mad?" he asks. "No, I'm not mad," I say and he smiles a small smile, which causes me to smile, "I love you," he says and I open my car door again, "I love you, too, but I have homework to do. I'll call you later," I say and kisses him softly but passionately and pull on his bottom lip as I pull away which causes him to groan, "Don't start, Brook," He says and I laugh, "I'll text you later," I say and he nods and walks to his car as I get in my car and drive home.
