Hey guys! There's just going to be Instagram posts after this. I'll come back with the prose eventually, but yeah. Enjoy!
Question of the day: Have you ever been to a concert? It doesn't have to be BTS.
Jimin had been home for all of two minutes before he called Taehyung. He almost felt like he was taking advantage of his friend's availability, but he really needed someone to talk to.
"Chim Chim Chimmery," Taehyung greeted as soon as he answered.
"Tae, I went out with Yoongi today."
"...What?"
"Not like a date. We just...talked."
He heard rustling sounds over the phone and the muffled sound of two people talking. Soon, Taehyung started speaking again.
"Sorry, I'm at a shoot."
"Oh. I can call you back –"
"No, no. We're on break. I just told my manager I had to take a call. Now, tell me what happened."
"Oh, okay. Well, nothing really interesting happened. We talked about the past six years. Just catching up, you know?"
Taehyung hummed, "Did you make plans to see each other again?"
"No. I...I don't know if that would be...overstepping."
"You won't know unless you try, Jimin. So, what was it like?"
"It was weird at first. Then, when we started to talk, it was like before. Things aren't awkward anymore."
"Would you try again?"
Jimin paused at that. He knew what Tae meant. If he were to be honest, Jimin didn't know if he would give another shot at dating Yoongi. It wasn't as if their breakup was so terrible that he couldn't. Jimin had his reservations because it had been years since they had dated and last spoke to each other.
"I don't know. Things could be different now. We've changed," he explained, "even if it's not some giant difference. I just don't know how things could go now since we might want other things in a relationship. What if it doesn't work out again?"
Taehyung was quiet for a moment.
"Jimin," he started, "I understand that. I was there for everything and to be honest, I don't think you'd be making a mistake to try again."
"Tae –"
"Wait, let me finish. You guys are older now and more mature. You should be careful, but I don't see the harm in going for it. This could be your second chance. It might not work out, but it might also work out."
Jimin bit his lip, "That's true. I suppose it won't be terrible if we try again."
"I'm not forcing you into anything. It's still your decision, Chim. I'll still support you no matter what."
"When did you get so wise?" Jimin asked with a smile. His best friend was truly one of a kind.
"Ugh, Jin-hyung must be rubbing off on me," Taehyung muttered and Jimin laughed. "Besides, if things go bad between you and Yoongi, then you can just avoid him. You didn't even know you worked at the same place until a few days ago."
"Shut up, Tae," Jimin groaned. He heard Tae laugh on the other end of the line and he smiled. Someone said something in the background and Taehyung replied.
"Listen, I have to go. Break's over."
"Okay. Thanks for the talk, Tae Tae. Have fun!"
"No problem. That's what I'm here for. And I will have fun. Bye!"
