Tom's POV

Paranoia was the main emotion around these parts recently. We had time, that much was obvious however the clouds were growing ever closer and the imprisonment we experienced from the loss of the other realms was suffocating. Nyx and I spent our days scouting around looking for some way around these barriers, attempting to find the calm before the storm but the panic that Tucker kept stirring up was driving us all up the wall. Lisette and Chelcie were sticking together, being polite and conversing with others however the stares they projected onto the rest of us showed high levels of distrust. Jordan called it the beginning of treason.

We had decided to host a campfire, a general time for everyone to reveal something about the past that the others didn't know about - Jordan's idea of getting everyone to trust one another more since we would be fighting side by side. I had scoffed at the idea originally but Sonja had convinced me since it gave us the chance to discover more about the mysterious Caitlin, who apparently had a rather cryptic conversation with Jordan that he refused to share. The earpieces worked fully, a bit like Team Speak back when we were streaming but they were a pain in the ass since you never got any peace. There was always someone asking you to do something at random points in the day.

It was late at night, roughly 11PM in game from what we could tell and Chelcie was loading the last of the firewood onto the fire, watching with pride as the fire roared and the flames licked at the crisp night air, warming our chilled bones. I dragged over the last of the makeshift stools Jordan had crafted with the leftover wood and took my chair. Slowly, one by one the rest of the gang turned up and took their chairs. Sonja and Tucker sat side by side, Chelcie and Lisette perched next to them whilst Nyx shoved me off my chair and took mine, sticking out her tongue when I protested. Jordan sat down and managed to convince Caitlin to sit between us despite her trepidation.

T - So are we actually gonna talk or is it just gonna be an awkward silence until we all give up and go to bed?

Tu - Oh shut up Tom. Lets play Truth Or Dare!

S - Way to be mature Tucker.

L - No I think it'll be interesting. I'll go first. Jordan! Truth or Dare?

J - Wait why am I going first! Ugh fine. Dare.

N - Oh I have an awesome one! Do a back flip off of the courthouse!

I smirked and shared a knowing look with Jordan, I had seen him doing back flips before so I knew this would be a piece of cake for him especially since he didn't get hurt from fall damage. Earlier that week we had tested out our abilities, finding out that we could turn them off at will but they kicked in automatically when danger was nearby. We all jogged over to the courthouse and watched as Jordan pulled himself off before back flipping like a pro onto the hard stone path, landing with his arms in the air like a professional gymnast. I hi-fived him before we headed back to the campfire.

Ch - Next! Tucker! Truth or Dare?

Tu - Truth.

T - COWARD. TRIALLLLL TRIALLLLL.

C - Shut up Tom.

J - Uh thank you Caitlin. Hmm. What is your greatest fear right now?

Tu - The dark one.

Silence fell across the camp as we tried to understand his meaning. Jordan and Caitlin were sharing meaningful glances that no-one really understood despite my attempts to read into it. Lisette and Chelcie were whispering amongst themselves and Nyx was eyeing Caitlin with a suspicious look. Sonja soon broke the silence and announced that it was my turn to ask someone. So naturally since it was tense already I went for Nyx.
