"Sign here and we are all done." The elderly lawyer explained, pointing to the small dotted line at the bottom of the page. The small man with the golden hair turned to the white bearded king.
" Are you sure you want this my lord? " He asked hesitantly, still unsure that this was all one sick joke. The king let out a deep laugh that bellowed from the depths of his large belly.
"Of course David, look at how well the kids get along." He waved his wrinkled hand in the direction of the two kids playing quietly together in the corner, their small frames hunkered over a litter of Barbie dolls and toy cars.
The man smiled at his small daughter and knew in signing this Contract he would ensure his daughter a successful future. reassured, he used the black pen and carefully scrawled his name across the paper, closing the deal. With another excited smile, the two men turned back to watch the children.
"When are you going to tell her David?" The king asked with a questioning frown on his pale skin. The man drew his eyebrows together as he pondered the question.
"Sixteen. I will tell her at sixteen." The man decided, his brown eyes twinkling with delight. The king nodded in response and pulled his suit closer to his body as he toyed with his pocket. Pulling out his gold engraved checkbook, he scribbled a large number on a slip before signing with his royal signature.
"This should take care of her," he shrugged while ripping it out and handing it over. The man's eyes gasped as he saw the amount, his eyes roaming over the length of zeros at the end.
"Thank you my leige," he sputtered out in awe. The king let out another one of his earth trembling laughs before placing the book back into the folds of his pocket.
"Anything for my future daughter in law." He smirked, joyous at the thought.
