Royal Arrival...

My phone rang beside me, alerting me that I now had exactly 45 minutes until I had to be out by the bus stop and on my way to school. I shrugged off my fluffy blanket and reached over to grab my phone off of my night stand, Hitting the snooze. I sighed as the annoying alarm finally quit its whining.

I grumbled as I stumbled to my bathroom, tripping over more clothes that I had once again forgotten to put away. Normally during the summer my room was tidy, but during the school year all I did in my free time was read. I muttered out a shriek as I turned the shower on and the cold water hit my face. After recovering from my shock, I turned the water on warm and stripped out of my pajamas.

The water hit every sore muscle in my body and I instantly felt as though I was in heaven. I wish I could have just stayed in there all day instead of going to school, but like my dad would agree to that. I rubbed shampoo and conditioner through my matted hair and rinsed them out. Once that task was done I finished with a quick shave of my legs and turned off the water, already longing to once more be in its warmth. Using my light blue towel, I wrapped it around me before scampering to my room to find some clothes. I yanked out a pair of blue jeans with a black tank top and a nude coloured cardigan.

Once I finished dressing, I twirled in my mirror, my wet hair sprinkling water all over my floor. I quickly tied my hair up in a messy bun and threw on some light makeup, adding a black scrunchie to complete the outfit.

As I ran down the stairs, I grabbed my school bag and ran out the door. I walked  to the corner of my street, huddling myself against the morning air, just as the bus pulled to a stop. The driver gave me a nod as I slipped myself into an empty seat and pulled out another book.

I barely noticed we had pulled into the school until kids began shoving each other to get out. I waited patiently until they passed, following them out at the back of the line.

"Thank you," I muttered under my breath as I passed the bus driver, a unusual habit I picked up since I was little. He gave me another eery smile, his teeth decayed and yellow. I shuddered a little bit at the sight.

I slung my backpack over my left shoulder as it's weight began to bother my weak hands. I took a deep breath as I passed the popular kids, fearing their ridicules I endured daily.

"Nerd," they jeered at me, pointing their long, well manicured fingers in my direction. I ignored them, comebacks spouting through my mind daring to reach my lips. I jumped over their feet intending to trip me, sending death glared their way as I passed them by.

"Girl, I don't know how you put up with them," my friend willow frowned, pacing next to me as she shook her long brown hair in dismay. I looked down at her blue eyes hidden behind her thick glasses.

"I don't care what they think of me, I did not wake up today striving to please them." I stated, stopping at my locker. I began putting my books away as she still continued her rant.

"Still," she grumbled, "they bully me but something about you irks them to no end, perhaps your unrelenting additude of not caring." I shrugged, not really seeking their approval. "I will see you at class Emma, I'm gonna go say hi to a few people." She strutted away, an aura of confidence following her.

I gave a smile as I turned to walk to my classroom, wishing Drake would get here sooner than later.

School went by without a hitch for the rest of the day, my classes were fairly easy and nothing unusual happened. I was left alone, not that I minded, the spotlight never gave me much joy. I was going to ride the bus back home but the weather was beautiful and I needed the exercise, so I decided to walk.

The wind tickled my cheek as it hit me, causing me to shiver slightly underneath it's intense waves. I shuffled through my neighborhood, seeing my house a little ways away. I smiled as I thought about my plans for the night, cooking dinner and probably watching a movie with my dad. I hurried a little as my excitement grew.

I opened my unlocked door and slipped off my shoes and backpack, placing them in their appointed homes in the front closet.

"Dad I'm home," I yelled closing the front door and locking it.

"Great, can you come in here?" He shouted back. I padded over to the living room, my eyes widening in surprise as I was met with the goofy smirk of Drake.

"Drake," I shrieked in surprise, running up to him to meet his hug,  "What are you doing here so soon! " He released me from our embrace to meet my eyes.

"I got to excited to see you so I arranged an earlier date."

His voice had gotten deeper since our last meet and I inwardly swooned at its manliness. I took a step back, hesitant to believe my best friend stood in front of me.

"I'm so happy to see you Drake," I smiled, giving my dad a quick peck on the cheek in thanks. I grimaced at the thought of messy room, not at all prepared for him to see it.

" Oh Em, " he started as I smiled at his nickname, "because of my long stay I am going to your school to continue my studies and meet your other friends." My ears perked up at this shocking statement.

I groaned into the air while flopping onto my couch. " Drake your gonna hate my school. "
