"Now river we can make this easy if you just answer honestly, who was the person you were with?" Shoupe asks. River thought back to what happened last time JJ got arrested, his dad was not happy. She decided to keep him out of it. "No one, it was all me" she replied trying to sound confident. "Ok fair enough since it was only food you're out of trouble but you still don't have a guardian so that needs to be sorted out" Shoupe stated. "Well I'm not leaving my friends" River replied sassily. "Well Kiara's parents offered to take you in so you don't have to worry" Shoupe said.
River arrived at Kie's house the next day. She walked up to the front door nervously which is weird as they are best friends. She raised a shaky hand and knocked on the door. Kiara's mother opened the door with a big smile. "River I'm so happy to see you sweetheart" Kie's mum said happily. "Hi, thanks for taking me in," River replied. "River I'm so excited I already made up your room so hurry up we have to meet the boys and explain" Kie said enthusiastically.
Kie and River arrived at the wreck where they organized to meet JJ and Pope. JJ ran to River and wrapped his arms around her "River I'm so glad you're safe I was so worried" "Aww was JJ worried about me" River said jokingly. They all sit down at a table and River explains everything "So you took the blame for me" JJ asked. "Yeah but I didn't even get charged or anything so there's nothing to worry about". "Hey guys do we know how we're gonna clear John B's name" Pope asked "Well I got sent a court date for me to attend for next week" answered River "Do you need us to come?" asked Pope "I mean you guys can come as witnesses" replied River, "We'd love to come" proposed Kie.
