when the liquid touched my skin i couln't stand the pain and i ended up fainting

When i woke up i was lying on the couch, i try to sat up but my arms where really weak "ay" i whispered to myself while i fell back to the couch, my arms were bandaged and with some blood on them "be careful, you can't do much with your arms in some days" Marcus said kneeling beside me "how do you feel?" he asked putting a strand of hair behind my ear "weak, but much better than yesterday" i said and he smiled at me while he was helping me to sit on the couch "hello Melina" Martinus said as he enter in the room "hi Martinus" i said and he sat next to me "Can i take a look?" he said taking my arm and i nodded

He removed the bandage carefully "it doesn't look very good" he said worried and put his hand on my arm "does it hurt?" he asked while he press a little "yes, it hurts a lot" i said clenching my fist to not scream in pain "we should take her to see Amos" Marcus said "who's Amos?" i asked curiously "a vampire doctor, he has cured hundreds of vampires wounded because of your father, the only one who he couldn't cure was our father" Martinus explained "my father didn't stopped repeating that your father had killed my grandfather while he had me looked up there" i said "we are sorry that we hadn't told you before, we didn't know how to tell you, we thought you would hate us because of that, we underatand if you don't want yo be with us anymore" Marcus said looking down "i don't hate you, you don't have the fault of what your father did" i said "thank you, but i think you should know what happened and why our father killed your grandfather" Martinus said and Marcus began to tell the story

"it all started 15 years ago, your father and your grandfather were the only vampire hunters left, at first as they were the last ones they decided to take a break and wait to see if in some time there where more vampire hunters, after a while the vampires thought that they had retired and that they wouldn't return, but that didn't happen, one night your grandfather and your father entered in our house to steal a really important object for vampires which they had given to our family to protect it and that was what they were going to do, when your father and grandfather entered in our house trough a window our parents were still awake and they heard noises on the roof where they keep the object and they went there as fast as they could but your grandfather was really smart and he had placed small machines that canceled their powers all around the room, this didn't stop our parents who fought against them but your father and grandfather managed to steal the object and run away, our father ran after them and faced them again on a hill not far away from here, your father escaped but your grandfather fell to the void when our father use one of his powers against him"

When he finished i was thoughtful trying to assimilate all the information "Melina? Are you okay?" Marcus asked putting his hand on my shoulder "yes, don't worry, what is that object they stole?" i asked curiously "is a small red and green ball which holds the power of vampires, if it breaks or is destroyed all vampires will die slowly and painfully, but it's almost imposible to break and if it does we have two days to repare it" Martinus explained

"a red and green ball... i know what is it, i know where it is, i've seen it a hundred times, my father always tried to break it with all kinds of strange objects but he never could do it, i remember that when i was a kid i always asked him what was it and why he wanted to break it but my father never answered me" i said "you know where is it!" Marcus said impressed "in my house, in my father's room, in the closet, on the highest shelf, inside a safe" i said with my eyes closed remembering the way to it "then we could take it, the only problem is the safe" Martinus said thoughtfully "i know the password" i said causing Marcus to look at me with wide eyes "really?" he asked surprised "yes, i always opened it as a child to see what it was" i said and smile remembering that times "then we just have to take it" Martinus said happily "yes, we'll make a plan later, now we have to take Melina to see Amos so he can heal her" Martinus said and we leave their house
