what we had clear was that if we didn't find him soon he will die

*Almost a week later*

We've been days looking for Liam , we just had a few hours left to find him and i was so worried "don't worry, everything will be fine" Marcus said hugging me tight form behind  "i just hope that Liam is okay, i love him in someway" i said resting my head on his shoulder "of course you love him, he's your best friend" Marcus said and kissed my forehead "if we can't save him i don't know what i'm going to do" i said and a tear fell down my cheek "don't cry babe, we'll save him" he said wipping my tear away and left a soft kiss on my lips

*Half an hour later*

"Maybe they are there" Martinus said pointing to an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere, we walked towards there and we got in, Martinus was right, they where there  "i see that you have found us" my father said "give us Liam back" i said "come for him if you dare" he said smiling, at that moment we see a lot of those small machines that left us without powers all around the room "why always those little machines?" i said whispering but loud enough to make my father ear it "because they are so useful" my father said "it's unfair" Amos said "it's fair, you are four and i'm just one" he said "but you have those machines" Martinus said "and what?" he said "it's unfair" Marcus said "i don't care" my father said and we started to fight.

Marcus, Martinus and i fought against my father while Amos went with Liam, i hoped we were in time to save him, after a long time fighting my father finally gave up and ran away

I run to Liam and kneel beside him, Marcus and Martinus run after my father "are we on time?" i asked to Amos, he looked at me and then at Liam without saying anything "Amos?" i said "Melina, I'm...I'm sorry, he...he is...dead" Amos said low and i sarted crying "no, please, tell me that it isn't true" i said crying rivers "i'm sorry" he said saddly "no, Liam, no..." i said and hugged Liam's dead body crying so hard

*Marcus pov*

We followed Melina's father until we lost him of sight "we should go back" Martinus said "yes, we should" i said and we walked back to the abandobed house, when we got in we saw   Melina crying, we looked at Amos and he shake his head as sign that we were late, i kneel beside Melina and put my hand on her back, she was stil crying with her forehead resting on Liam's chest "babe?" i said and she looked at me "come here" i said pushing her into a really tight hug, she kept crying on my shoulder

*Some weeks later*

It has been a lot of time but Melina hasn't been able to overcome that Liam was no longer here, she has been locked up for weeks in her room without getting out or eating, she locked her door with a key so none could got in

*At night*

"We have to get her out, being there isn't good for her" Amos said "i'm going to try again" i say walking upstairs and i knocked her door "babe, it's me, let me in please" i said "no, i want to be alone" she said from inside "Melina please, i'm worried about you, please let me in" i begged "go away" she said "fuck, Melina, i miss you" i said almost crying, in that moment the door opened letting me see her, her hair was so messy and she had dark circles on her eyes due to the lack of sleep, she doesn't look like the girl she was "what?" she said, she was still crying "babe..." i said hugging her "what do you want?" she said when we pulled out "i want you to be the girl you were before" i said "it's impossible, that girl died with Liam" she said looking down, i took her chin making he look directly into my eyes and i pressed my lips agains hers, i missed this so much "let me help you" i said stroking her cheek "how?" she asked sobbing "first you have to sleep" i said "i can't sleep, i've been unable to sleep for weeks" she said

*Y/n pov*

"I can't sleep, i've been unable to sleep for weeks" i said "that's because you need some love, cuddles and someone who takes care of  and helps you, i'm here for you Melina, i'm going to help you with this" Marcus said softly "if you say so" i said and stepped aside to let him go in "come here" he said with a sweet voice lying down on my bed and opening his arms, i walked to him and i layed with my head on his chest, he grabbed his strong arms around me "i'll stay awake until i make sure that you heve fallen asleep" he said "thanks, i've missed this" i said "do you feel better?" he asked after some minutes of silence and he stroke my hair"yes" i said and little by little i fell asleep, finally, i've been wanting to sleep for so many days, Marcus was right i just nedded some love and cuddles to feel better
