The Bad Boy's Weakness

CHAPTER 3

ELLE'S POV

Soon enough it was lunch, and everyone was busy making their way to the cafeteria. Everyone was sitting in their own little groups minding their own business when at the corner of my eye I see Maddie and her squad approach Sarah and I.

"Well, well isn't it not the nerds of the school, Sarah and Elle." Says Maddie.

"What do you want Maddie, we're not looking for trouble." I say annoyed.

"Who says I want trouble I just want to talk to you Ellie."

"I heard what happened to you in the hallway this morning Ellie wish I saw it in person everyone said that it was a sight to see." She says smiling.

"Well you didn't miss anything there was not much to see besides that she fell." Sarah says.

"Aww sweetie that is something to miss, how many times do you get to see Austin Rush having an argument in the hallway with a nerd."

"Back off Maddie and stop causing trouble" says Jake.

"Well aren't you saving the damsel in distress Jakky Bear."

"Leave my friends alone Maddie or you will regret it."

"Or what Jake what will you do."

"You know what I will do and I don't think you want your 'squad' to know do you?" Jake says looking at Maddie.

"What is he talking about Mads." says her squad.

"Nothing just forget it." She says walking off with her squad.

"What do you know that she doesn't want people to know?"

"That she and Elle were best friends once upon a time."

"Really, that was what she doesn't want people to know."

"What can I say she doesn't want anyone to know about it."

"Well I don't want anyone to know either but I mean it's irrelevant."

Maddie and I were best friends when we were in form 1 but she decided to give up our friendship for popularity. And because she was popular and I wasn't, she saw me as one of the nerds and picks on me since.

"I can't believe you were best friends with her before." Sarah says.

"Sometimes I can't believe it myself." I say.

After our little encounter with Maddie, we made our way to our table where we talked about our day was going until I heard a deep voice behind me. Only to find that the voice came from Austin Rush.

"Can I sit here?" Austin asked.

"Don't you have your own table to eat at?" I asked.

"No but I do now." He says taking a seat.

"Don't you have to keep your reputation as 'mister popular' cause then you're at the wrong table Maddie's table is over there."

"I don't care about that if I want to sit with you during lunch I can."

"Well what if I don't want you here?"

"Then to bad cause from now on, it's where I'll be eating lunch from now on."

"Austin why are you sitting here?" says Andrew as he reaches our table with Scott and Will and sits down.
