They walked up to the courtyards.
There were emerald grass. The Jurassic leaves covered the tree roots. They were here first. She sat alone. After 30 minutes of waiting, The other houses came . "About time "Penelope shrugged. Evie saw ben all posed up in his Hufflepuff robe. "Hi Ben" .

"Sorry Evie ,I have not seen Mal, she hasn't talked to me all day" He strolled away. That was weird.

Evie saw mal. She cleared her throat and greeted  "Hey M" in an abnormally loud voice . Mal looked back . She was with a girl with green eyes and dark brown hair up to her shoulders. They were in a group ,with some girls with green robes. They started to whisper. Then the one girl responded with"Hello" with a smirk.

"Now be nice Daphne ,We wouldn't want her to put Basilisk venom in an apple ready for us right, see Mal ,should go say hello to her pretty face friend over there" replied another .

Mal walked towards her head down not defending her at all. "Ill see you later ,Evie"

"Mal " Evie uttered. Back to full name basis . Mal deserved to be happy and she got into the house she wanted to be in .  She should be glad to see her friend where she belongs even if she did not belong in her house .  For some odd reason , she coldn't move her legs as if she was hoping Mal to reconsider or mercy her .

Till Mal could reply, a blonde haired boy walked by. She walked backed ,eyes seized on him."Evie, maybe it's best if you go to your house "Mal proposed. Her eyes still looking at Draco.

Her legs finally pushed forward . Her thoughts unscrambled. She sat under the apple tree ,in the corner of the yards. Watching everyone talk, a tear plotted on her cheek. She narrowed her eyes. No one ever knew , she wasn't soft, she couldn't let anyone know. This was the first day and she couldn't ruin her face crying over something so pathetic .  The tender autumn breeze blew the bittersweet leaves. She noticed someone was next to her.

"Carlos?"

His eyes were slightly cardinal red. His face was like a half moon. His palms collided together and he sat back. "Where's Jay?" she asked squinting.

"With Jay , where's mal ?"he sniffed. She examined his red face as though he had expirienced heaps of hurt . His white hair slightly frizzled .

"She's alright"Evie stammered her voicebreaking weirdly. She put her lips together

They both had a moment of silence. The ravenclaws began going in throgh the arch way ." I better be going" she announced standing up .

"See you "he replied nodding . Then , she stood up and strolled away . Looks like he wasn't the only person who was having a hard time adjusting . But maybe they were meant to be friends just like the start .

Jay walked passed with Dean and Seamus . "Carlos , How many coats does your mother have? Apparently she puts dog traps around them! You take of yourself and your mums coats  "Seamus implied.

He shrugged " Sorry , I wouldn't know . I'll send you in there one day to count " he rolled his eyes ."I think I got in his hair " he laughed knudging Jay who was stood next to him simply amused .

"Fur" Jay added with a rude grin . It was only the first day so he was hardly effected . He only wondered why hufflepuff , if they were supposed to be weak . Why was he even in a house where he did not fit in ." At least , I wasn't sorted into Gryfindor " he raised his eyebrows . Jay's face dropped from a smirk to a scowl like the sun sinking and the moon rising . He nearly swung his fist.  Seamus stopped him and he shoved him off . He didn't even have respect for the people who liked him . "Let's go " Seamus whispered shooting him a glance. Carlos zoned out for a few moments and they were gone like nearly everyone there .

. Carlos stood up hastily and left the empty courtyard before he got lost . He did not have time for Jay's stupidity . He was not even Hufflepuff.  Besides all that , he would be grateful to have some sleep . It had been a long day.

'It hurts because it matters'
