The Glass of Time - A Hogwarts Story

Missive

After dinner, they changed into their pyjamas and decided they needed an early night. Evie was emptying her robe for the wash when something fell out. It landed on the floor like plane crash. The inscription stared up at her. As she began to pick it up someone had already grabbed it of her...

"Oooo who's this from? " Padma slammed.

"No one, its none of your business" Evie snapped back pulling it out of her hand.

Luna sighed. She stood relentlessly up from drawing in her umber coloured book and walked up to the letter in Evies hand .

"Lets see then" Luna urged. They stared at each other for twenty seconds straight. Then Evie quietly blinked .

"I win " Luna smiled. 

"Fine whatever" Evie grumped whilst sitting on her bed with the other two following.

"Whatever you see you must MUST forget about " Evie commanded terrified.

They both looked at each other and looked back. Evie silently unclosed the envelope trembled. Then she felt a shudder in her skin and a mount in her eye as she began reading.

Dear Evie,

Ravenclaw? RAVENCLAW? You are an absolute disappointment, you deserve to be poisoned for not 1 week forever . I'm disgusted. You are a failure and are nothing to me . You think you will 'fit in'. In your wicked dreams. Mal got in Slytherin ,now horn lady is rubbing it in my face and its all you fault. Anyway , I'm letting you of the hook because I gave birth to you on a mourning day.  So you can still make done of a prince. Do you understand? So you will be going to Malfoy manor for a dinner party in a week. There will be the best villains in history. DO NOT MESS THIS UP . So wear a good dress ,one of mine that I packed in dear hopes you would get in the Slytherin. Also stick to my makeup and skincare routine Hun , you wouldn't want your future prince to see those autumn wrinkles. Have I reminded you ,you have crushed my reputation. IF YOU DISOBEY ME, I WILL NOT HESISTATE TO POISON YOUR FILTHY MOUTH ...OR WORSE DISOWN YOU.

Silence struck as finished reading the letter. 

"Well it could have been worse" Luna mumbled politely.

"Uhm Luna not helping" Padma whispered awkwardly.

"I'm sorry um Evie are you ok...?" Luna said putting her hand on her shoulder. Evie jumped. 

Evie thought for a moment. "Oh yeah I'm fine ,You won't..." Evie questioned startled.

" Sure we won't " Padma reassured.

"Promise, but are you sure you're ok?" Luna inquired worryingly. 

"I perfectly fine..... don't worry about me , I'll be right back "She chuckled walking to the door to the bathroom .  Then she stubbed her toe on the side of the bed and hopped the rest.

"OW Ow ow perfectly fine" she quivered painfully hopping away.

She sat down on the navy blue stool and crouched her legs on it. She looked down at the clean marble floor and sat there in the dark. She was terrified of her mother and certainly didn't want to loose her. She taught her how to cook, clean, make up, and even sew. What was she meant to do?  Go there? to Malfoy manor ,she didn't know where it was. She had heard her mother talking about the Malfoys since she was a child . Malfoy? That name kept coming up. The thoughts closed up. This was pointless . Just prince.

"E? you there ?" Luna said in her euphonious voice.

"Coming" She said whilst wiping the tear that had plotted on her cheek.
