Chapter 5

The next day Meliodas felt like he needed a walk. What happened with Simon brought up some memories that he'd prefer to keep buried. But hey, he knows he can't run away from his past. He learned that a long time ago. Meliodas was just walking on the side walk when he looked up to see Directer Fury standing in front of him.

"Look, I'm not in the mood to deal with whatever issue you have with me. So if you could just leave me alone to my thoughts, that'd be great." Meliodas said. He didn't really have any negative expressions he just looked like he needed to think about things.

"I have something important to show you. And trust me when I say you don't wanna pass this up." Fury said.

Meliodas sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. He was too tired for this. "Fine. What do you want?"

"You're insight."

Meliodas raised a brow in confusion. Fury lead him to one of S.H.I.E.L.D.s small bases, then he went over to a computer and pulled up a message.

"Dragon, Serpent, Fox, Sloth, Goat, Boar, and Lion. Added Demon and Goddess to Dragon."

That's all the message said but it was enough to make Meliodas' eyes widen in surprise. Anyone else would expect this to be a bunch of nonsense. Boy was he glad that Fury wasn't like anyone else. Meliodas expected some of the Sins to still be alive but not all of them. Seeing this actually lifted his spirits. The last two meant Zeldris and Elizabeth, which means they also had a part in the message. They're all alive.

Meliodas' eyes started watering in relief. He was so glad all his friends, his brother, and his lover were still out there. He just had to find out where. It was most likely that Merlin was the one that sent this out all over the world. He has a hunch that she's able to tell if the others are alive and made this to try and notify the others and eventually reunite.

Meliodas looked at Fury. "How? How did you know this was connected to me?"

"Well, we did keep you locked up for a few years and examined you from time to time. The dragon tattoo on your left arm gave us a pretty good hint." Fury answered. "Consider this an apology for my false accusation."

Meliodas smiled at the director. "Apology accepted."

The blond then felt his I.D. card vibrating. He pulled it out of his pocket and saw Tony was calling him. He answered.

"Hey Tony, what's up?"

"We need you back at the mansion. We have a. . . Guest." Tony answered.

"Got it. On my way." Meliodas ended the call and put away his I.D. card. He looked over at Fury and thanked him again. Fury told him that if he found out anything new about the Sins, Zeldris, and Elizabeth he'd let him know. Meliodas thanked him again then left. He flew back to the mansion to find the others waiting by the Quinjet with someone dressed in a black cat suit.

Meliodas landed in front of them with his normal smile. "Yo!"

"There you are! Where'd you run off to?" Wasp asked.

"Went out for a walk, and I found out the other Sins, plus my brother and my lover are all alive!" Meliodas exclaimed in excitement

"That's great!" Hank congratulated. After what happened with Simon it seemed to him like Meliodas wouldn't recover, but he was proven wrong when his cheerful teammate came back to the mansion all smiles and carefree attitude intact.

"If you ever need our help looking for them, just say the word." Steve said. He was also glad Meliodas was back to normal.

"Thanks guys." Meliodas smiled, then he looked at the man in the black cat suit. "So who's the kitty?"
