" Annie, you have to pick, which side are you on?!" I sat up, sweat dripping down my forehead. I got out of bed and opened the door to Annie's room. She lay there quietly. I heaved a sigh, closing the door and walking back to my room.

I had been having this recurring dream where the red-eyed titan was gripping unconscious Eren, with Reiner on her shoulder. Reiner was forcing Annie to choose which side she was going to be on. The side with the others and me, if she was going to stay inside the walls, or if she was going to return to Marley with him and the mysterious titan that had captured Eren successfully.

But right when Annie was about to choose, I woke up. It was a bit frustrating, but I could manage. I had just pulled my blankets over my waist before a loud boom came. Screams could be heard from outside. I can never get a good night's sleep, can't I?

My door flung open as I pulled my white jeans up. Annie stood in the doorway, already dressed. I quickly pulled a black shirt on and my jacket, attaching my harness and ODM gear. Annie followed me out of the door, taking my hand as we fought through the crowd of people. I quickly switched to carry Annie bridal style and grappled to the wall. I set her down when we were at the top.

Everyone looked so shaken up, except captain Levi. I went over to the edge of the wall and gazed down. Oh, so you brought some backup, huh? Reiner in titan form and the red-eyed titan looked up at me.

" Listen up, everyone!" Levi shouted, and everyone turned to face him. " Eren, Annie, Y/N, you guys will go first against the two. The other troops and I will stay back, searching for one of the red-eyed's weaknesses." I nodded and jumped off the wall. I grabbed the knife out of my new spot, which was literally just my pocket, and cut my hand. Annie and I vs the red-eyed titan, and Eren vs Reiner. This should be easy.

We waited in our stances, seeing who would make the first move. The red-eyed titan pushed off the ground, dashing at me. I threw a right hook, as the titan took a quick sidestep. Taking a sidestep to the left, I hardened my armor a bit and then threw a left hook.

Annie let out a powerful kick with her left leg, as both her leg and my fist collided with the titan's head and neck. As Annie went for the nape, I heard a tiny roar. Annie struggled to fight something but failed. Her titan's eyes went blood red, like the titan.

" Count the time between each hypnosis, Y/N." Levi had suggested on our way back home yesterday. I struggled to multitask as I fought Annie, but the amount of time I counted before the hypnosis ran out was 30 seconds. The titan used hypnosis again within another 3 minutes.

I got the hypnosis timing down, so all I really needed to do now was get to the nape. I rushed to the back of the titan, and formed a fist with my right hand, ready to punch the spikes. They came out, but in two pairs and at a fast speed. They also looked way sharper too. Instead of going straight, they curved around. I felt a sharp pain in my stomach area. My head tilted down, and I saw blood.

One set of spikes was right at my left side, but one of the others were right in my stomach. I heard a large snap, and my titan's body fell forward. How could these stupid spikes break through my armor? I could barely move. I heard screaming. Y/N and Eren were what they were screaming. It sounded familiar. The sound of grapples rang all around me. " Get him out of there!" I squirmed forward, slowly pulling the spike from my body. It was only the tip, but it was still huge.

The spikes were pulled back one by one, and I could feel hands pulling me out from the hot nape of my titan. Cold air blew in my face, and I was set on the wet grass. Levi and Hanji stood beside me, and I could hear scouts grunting as someone pushed through the crowd.
