Fjord's eyes widened in surprise. A traitor? That was bad news.

"Alduin? Exactly how advanced is this dream magic?" Alduin whipped around to face Fjord.

"More advanced than I care to know, Joore. You mortals could not hope to perform such a feat, except perhaps an Arch-mage. You have not spoken to any?"

"No, I haven't spoken to anyone with magical prowess." Aside from these dragons...

"Thuri. What proof can you offer me that you have not harmed Fjord?" Foahdinok looked directly in the World-Eater's eyes, and shifted in front of Fjord protectively.

"None. You will just have to take my word." Tilpaar strutted over to them with a smirk on her scaly face.

"Hey, who else have you talked to besides doofus and angry emo dragon? We should, as you Joore say, "retrace our steps." Alduin bristled at being called an angry emo dragon.

"Er, I've spoken to a barmaid, Delphine, Argenir, and you guys. That's it, really." Alduin growled.

"Delphine, no good Joore scum-"

"Emo dragon, calm down. I doubt it's the Greybeard, that would undermine their entire code or whatever. It's not me, or Foahdinok. That leaves the barmaid, Delphine and Emo dragon." Tilpaar cutted in.

"What did this maid of bars look like?" Alduin suddenly seemed interested now.

"You don't know what a barmaid is?" Fjord suppressed his laughter.

"That is what I said, Dovahkiin. Tell me about the maid of bars." Alduin did not look terribly amused. Fjord was.

"Well, she was a bit taller than me. Wore normal barmaid clothes. I think she was in her mid thirties? Her eyes were kinda creepy though. Almost like they had no pupils."

"Dovahkiin. What colour were her eyes?" Alduin looked slightly panicked now.

"White?" This seemed to be the final straw for Alduin. He growled lowly.

"She's supposed to be dead. Where and when did you meet her?"

"Ivaarstead? About two or three days ago?" Alduin huffed in frustration.

"She could be anywhere by now... her spell has likely worn off, so she needed another body... Dovahkiin, is Riverwood close to Ivaarstead in Joore measurements?"

"Yeah."

"We are going there now, so I may prove my innocence."  Tilpaar walked up to Alduin.

"HOLD UP. You have to explain what's going on here. I am not following you into Blades territory without a good reason." Alduin growled.

"I hate explaining... In short, there is a Dov whom I thought was killed. She is out for blood, probably mine, but is using Fjord to anger me. She is harming Fjord, because she knows I'll put the pieces together, and come after her in a fit of rage. Now, are we leaving or not?"

"Still makes like no sense, but I'll come with. You two, with me. Fjord, put your armor on." Tilpaar left the cave, and then returned with the ebony armour. Fjord put the armour on, and climbed onto Foahdinok's back. They started the flight to Riverwood.

"Dovahkiin. You will investigate the town, and shout if you find someone with white, pupiless eyes." Alduin commanded.

"Yes, bossy emo dragon." Fjord stated. Alduin snorted.

"Address me as Al-Du-In, first born of Akatosh." Fjord didn't answer, as they had arrived. Foahdinok landed, and dropped Fjord about half a kilometre from the town. Nothing seemed to be amiss from this distance.

"Good luck, and may the odds be in your favour!" Tilpaar shouted at Fjord's fading form.

"Wrong universe, Tilpaar!" He yelled before walking out of earshot. When Fjord arrived, nothing seemed wrong, so he decided to start at the inn. As he walked through the doors, he was greeted by Delphine in her barkeep outfit.

"How might you be doing today, Fjord? Can I get you something?" This is way too nice to be Delphine...

"I'm doing fine. No, I don't need anything." Fjord just walked over to the hearth and sat there, staring awkwardly at Delphine's face, trying to look at her eyes.

"What are you doing? Oh, you must want to see my face." She walked up to Fjord, and proceeded to break his personal space a hundred times over by letting him get a good, long look at her eyes. They were white.

"Do you... mind backing up?" Weird Delphine grinned.

"How about... we take this outside?" Fjord followed her out the door. Weird Delphine led him to the edge of Riverwood.

"What're you doing, Delph- OH GOD, THAT IS NOT DELPHINE!" A dragoness stood in her place, even bigger than Alduin. She had a crown of grey horns wreathing her face, which was filled with gleaming pointy teeth. She had four legs, and her wings were on her back. Her body was a deep shade of black. Her eyes were the only thing unchanged. Fjord was speechless for a moment.

"Wha- How does a.... Never mind. Who are you?" The dragoness simply smiled.

"Alduin didn't tell you? Aw, that's a shame. I am Miraxsil, the witching dragoness. You must be the Dovahkiin. Charmed." The dragoness extended her talon, and Fjord wondered if she was serious. He then remembered the instructions he was given.

"Al-Du-In!" The dragoness' cheery and happy air vanished for a satisfied one. She looked down at Fjord.

"Thank you. Now, you don't mind if I kill your backup?" She laughed.

"Oh, who am I kidding. You don't get a choice."

A/N

Another shortish chapter, but at least it's out on time! I kinda feel that Emo dragon is going to be all Fjord ever calls Alduin now...
