"Shhh," Remus hushes, rocking her back and forth as gently as he could.
Sirius runs into the room, the bottle leaking onto his hand, and breathes out a sigh of relief. He pauses and looks at the man before him, the baby girl no longer in an exhausting fit of tears.
"There we are," Remus whispers down to her, a smile slipping across his face, even his thin, silver scars turn up in satisfaction. "Just needed some attention... just like your father, aren't you?"
