Warm and comforting
Addicting and enticing
Something you don't want to let go ofYou could sink into it
And stay in it for hours
Oblivious to the rest of the worldIt's embrace will comfort you
Hold you
Love you
Keep you safeAnd when you wake
You'll remember how it feels
And how cold it is without itSleep is as close to death as we can get-
Without ever even dying
It's a temporary deathAs morbid as that may be
It's somehow comforts me
Knowing what death may feel likeEnjoy your sleep
You never know when it may end-
And the real sleep begins
