Chapter 1: A Surprise

"Alright problem children, This weekend until next week you're free to go home and visit your parents for a couple of days.. The school wants to put students on a break, especially after that villain incident." Aizawa announced lazily to his class, 1A  cheered on and Aizawa just sighed, "do whatever you want for the rest of your homeroom time, just don't wake me up" He said as he starts slipping in his sleeping bag and move to a corner.

A greenette was especially excited as it seems the world has blessed him the perfect timing. Of course his excitemnt won't go unnoticed by his childhood bestfriend Katsuki Bakugo. "Hey nerd,  what are you shining on about?!" the noisy Pomeranian asked.

"oh Kacchan!  It's nothing really, mom just said she has a surprise for me the next time I go home."

"tch. Anyways stop getting all excited it's too bright deku!" Bakugo said while popping the tiniest of sparks on the palm of his hand. While Izuku just gave a chuckle at his friend.

Bakugo was a good friend to Midoriya, Surprising for the others.. since both are way too much the opposite. Izuku Midoriya was soft and caring while Bakugo was angry and crude, literally explosive but both are kind in their own ways. Midoriya got his quirk a bit later than the usual, While the four year old Bakugo got his quirk "Explosion", Midoriya was still waiting for his. They both promised to be sidekicks and share the number one title, until the greenette doesn't show signs of having a quirk despite at the right age.

Izuku's mother, Inko Midoriya, refuses to see a quirk specialist since she knows that late quirks runs in the family on his father's side.

This caused everyone else to think he was quirkless. "Don't worry Deku I'll be a hero and promise to protect you!!" the explosive boy said, even though he has grown a whole big of an ego he still cares for the greenette.

A year passed Izuku already turned five, his telekinesis quirk suddenly activated in the classroom. To the glee of the teachers, classmates, and especially Bakugo they cheered Izuku on. "Kacchan! We can keep our promise of being sidekicks!". Which brings them to the current.

The rest of homeroom went by as Iida and Uraraka went on Deku's table.

Soon after classes ended they all walked with their group of friends heading towards the dorms..

"Midoriya, I can't help but notice your so bright today. Brighter than usual i mean." Iida said still on his robotic voice,  everyones starting to think it's because of his quirk. "Your right
Iida-kun! Midoriya-kun seems brighter than usual" Ochako agreed to Iida. With a grin plastered on his face,  Izuku was more than happy to share. "I got a phone call from mom last night. Apparently she said the next time I go home I have a surprise. Didn't expect it would be early as this saturday, it's really hard to gain permission from the teachers."
He finished with a sheepy smile.

"It's still wednesday Midoriya, let's study for tomorrow's quizzes first as UA students we..." while Iida rant chopping the air, The auburn haired girl and the greenette chuckled as they arrived the dorms.

Days passed. Now saturday, and Midoriya is walking with Bakugo as they're going to their homes. They take the same direction. They talked about whatever plus ranting of Bakugo about visiting the 'old hag' but it was pretty obvious that he loves his mother.

Parting ways they said their goodbyes and Izuku started running on the way to their apartment unit. Once at the doorstep he started knocking, immediately opened by a slim and tall simple looking woman with green hair just like his. "Mom!" he exclaimed and immediately gave a tight hug which he got back.

"Since you called me about coming last night I have been excited!," Said Inko Midoriya. "I hoped you remember about the surprise dear."
Izuku giggled. "Mom, aside from seeing you what else do you think kept me excited??" Inko smiled at her son.

"you see, I have recieved the letter I have been waiting for quite a while now.. I'm not sure how you would react but, I was supposed to send it to you to the dorms since I recieved it last monday... but I think its best to talk about this matter in person."

"mom is a good surprise or a bad one?" Izuku asked tilting his head..

"It's from your father Izuku." she said with a soft smile while the brocolli boy was shocked. Surprised but not sure if its good or bad. She hands over the letter to Izuku and he read the note quietly.

Dear Izuku Louis Midoriya Allencount III. Second Prince of the American Kingdom.

The time has come for you to come back to your homeland. I presume your mother chose to keep a secret from you but I understand. I admit I'm at fault, and there is no other reason. I apologize to your mother for that. I also offer you the right to choose, whether you want the opportunity to be called 'His Majesty King' or remain as the Duke of our Kingdom. Either way, your choice shall be respected as you are my son.
The First Prince Hisashi Zuko Midoriya Allencount II. Your brother has been waiting for you too.
Please accept the reunion planned for the next summer.

I'm sorry if I didn't write any sooner, I've been busy and insisted on writing the letter myself when I find the time.

After reading, Izuku's face was neutral.

"I'm sorry you had to stay away from your father because of me. I just thought you would want a normal life instead of politics or how to rule a kingdom 101. He's planning on involving you at the age of five! ..We talked this out, decided to bring you here but also promised to bring you back at some point." Inko explained, Izuku then gave an understanding face. Though it can't be said that he wasn't disappointed that he didn't get to spend time with his father all these years. ".. It's fine mom, I'm sure I won't enjoy politics that much at that age" he said assuring her mom its alright ", besides, we would be whole again." giving off a sheepy smile with positive intent. 'it must've been hard for mom to be away from dad..' Izuku thought. Then Inko broke his line of thought.

"You still have a month before summer break happens. Try to relax and not think about everything too much. And..." she paused to get a pen and paper then wrote something.. "...here. That's the number and other safe accounts of your brother. There's an application made specifically for royalty. The password to get the app is on the paper, it changes every month so be sure to make an account as soon as possible." Inko explained more as she gives the paper to Izuku whose excited to talk to his brother but..  "mom?"
"yeah?"
"What if my brother doesn't really want to hear from me?" Izuku asked with a worried face. Inko chuckled at her cute son, "don't worry dear.. Zuko always asks me about you and sometimes sends videos of you. I see you haven't noticed the use of our cameras here." Inko ended with a playful smirk being the cool mom she is.
