VIRAT - DEV - YOU REMAIN AS MY KIDDO

AUTHOR'S POV - 

Dev was sitting in his room brooding about what happened today.

FLASHBACK TO THAT EVENING - 

Dev, Shivam, Saini, and Yuzi were all chilling in the team room together when Mr. Nags made his grand entry. 

"Dont tell me you want to shoot some video again, I am in no mood for that." Shivam said lazily. 

"I dont always shoot videos." Danish said. 

"Why are you wearing the wig then?" Dev asked and Danish looked up and pulled the wig off.

"Where is Virat?" Danish asked. 

"Nush bhabhi wanted some special dish or something so Virat is like in the hotel kitchen." Yuzi said. 

"What is he doing in the kitchen? Cooking for her?" Danish asked, shocked.

"No no please he isnt cooking, he is instructing the chef about the exact details that bhabhi asked for or you could say nagging him because he is adding his own details in between." Saini said.

"I am telling you by the time he comes back into the room with the dish after an hour,  bhabhi wont be hungry anymore and she would have eaten something else." Yuzi laughed

"See Rahul, heard it? Thats why he is not picking your call up." Danish said putting his phone back on his ear. 

"Then why isnt bhabhi picking up?" Rahul demanded an answer again.

"Where is Anushka?" Danish asked them again. 

"With Dhana and who is asking for Virat bhai?." Yuzi asked. 

"Rahul and his next question is why you arent picking his call up." Danish said. 

"My phone is with Dhana as well, freedom ki toh dhajiya udd gayi hain." Yuzi said murmuring the last part. 

"Are you satisfied with these answers Rahul?" Danish asked Rahul. 

"Give the phone to Virat now." Rahul said and Danish was done with Rahul wanting so many answers and all. 

"Why dont you just wait mahn?" Danish asked and he was going to hang up. 

"No give it to Virat." Rahul said and Danish sighed. 

"Dev, come here." Danish said and Dev had to oblige. 

"Give the phone to Virat go." Danish said trying to bully Dev since he is new in the team and Virat was not around to save him so Dev just took the phone and went. 

On the way, Dev checked whether the call was still on and he kept the phone near his ear to check, and he heard some muffled voices and he was almost there near the kitchen where the rest thought Virat would be when he heard Rahul speak, "Why the helll is it taking so long for the phone to reach Virat?" 

Dev by now did know that Rahul and Virat had a great bonding due to how frequently he used to call Virat and how they used to meet in their own style every time there was a RCB versus KXIP match. But Dev didnt really have any sort of bonding with Rahul even though the fact that Rahul was his senior in the Karnataka team and Rahul also seemed pretty rude to him whenever they talked, especially during this IPL. 

"Have patience Rah." Dev heard Mayank say. 

"No, already I am so far away from Virat and he is not even calling me on his own, I only need to call him to remind him of my existence or else I am sure I would have gotten replaced long back." Rahul said angrily and Dev just pretended like no one is on the other side listening to him.
