Chapter 23

Lauren's POV

Every punch, kick brought me utter pain. I was scared for my life and for my sisters. 3 dark figures came running towards us in the corner of the room, I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up as it was just more strangers coming to abuse us. My breathing got heavier and I tucked myself up into a ball. It felt like the walls were closing in on me as I shuffled back, the men surrounding us. Through the gaps in their legs I could a few dark figures standing near the door frame. I let it just go over my head and assumed they were more people to beat us. The figures marched towards us and I flinched, ready for the next set of abuse to hit me. "LAUREN!!!" I heard echo around the room. Someone crashed into me and wrapped their arms around me, taking me into an embrace. The arms felt familiar, too familiar. I unscrunched my eyes to see Finn. He was pulled back by the men and thrown to the floor. I cried his name and my sisters sat there in shock. They threw a couple of punches at him and my heart shattered. Tears left my eyes making my state worse. Others ran in wearing a hi-vis. Police. They siezed them and pulled them out of the room, hearing the thuds on the stairs. I leapt up and dived over to Finn. He was lying motionless on the floor, I intwined our fingers and squeezed. "Don't leave me" I pleaded. He was still motionless and the pain in my throat came back. By this time Robyn and Hannah were out of the rom, being reunited with Jack and Niall. "I love you, forever and always" I whispered in my boyfriend's ear, resting my head on his shoulder. Every ounce of hope went away and I felt usless. I turned my head away from Finn and tried to accept that fact that he might be gone, but I couldn't however I have to. I felt a hand reach for mine and squeeze it. I roll my head back to it's previous position. I see Finn smiling down at me. "Don't worry babygirl, i'm not going anywhere" he says kissing me. We pull apart and see the policemen standing over us. We both sit up, Finn puts an arm around me and I lean back into him. The policeman kneels down to our height "Miss Kennedy, the criminals have been siezed and will suffer punishments, however we need a few pieces of information form you and your sisters before taking action". I nod and agree to meet at the local station tommorow. We had a couple of days left in Spain and we wanted to make the most of them rather than being cooped up worrying what might happen next. I wasn't going to let our ex's ruin our 'holiday'. 

We slowly exited the building, Finn carrying me out of the door. My bruises pained me but as long as I was with Finn the pain went away. Niall, Robyn, Jack and Hannah were all waiting outside for us as we piled into the car. Robyn started to complain of stomach cramps and Niall went mental worrying. She booked an appiontment for when we got home though. We all raced up to the room and jumped on my bed. I grabbed my phone and cheked social media. God, I missed this so much. Finn grabbed me and pulled me down. He leaned in about to kiss me and then started to tickle me. I fell for it, AGAIN. After I have finished having my tickling fit, I kissed Finn, my mind casting back to when he said he wasn't going anywhere. I knew for a fact I wasn't and all I needed to hear was that he was mine and I was his. I changed out of my bloody clothes and put on a 'teenage dirtbag' crop tee, denim frayed shorts, Finn's batman snapback and my nikeys. We went for dinner tonight and a fancy resteraunt and considering we hadn't seen our boyfriends for the past few days, dinner was filled with kisses hugs and the ocasional selfie to post on Instagram, Twitter and basically every social media that there ever was.

When we returned to our rooms, Finn, Jack, Hanni and I all skyped Laura and Joe for about 3 hours and it turned out they were flying out tomorrow and spending our last few days together. As soon and Jack and Han left I passed out on the bed. My bruises were healing and I didn't ache as much. My medicene was Finn. Whenever I was around him I felt better. I fell asleep in his arms, close to his chest, listening to the sweet sound of his heart beating. I am pretty sure I fell asleep with a smile on my face aswell.

Finn's POV

All I knew and all I needed to know was she was mine and here to stay.
