"I'm sorry if it wasn't what you had expected," Collins says as we pull up in my driveway. We had gotten in the car and sped off like no other- so we didn't get caught. Which I was happy for, my mom wouldn't have to bail me out of prison. Plus, it would be a bad impression for Collins towards my mom.
"What do you mean?" I ask him, looking over at him.
"Like, how the date wasn't like a typical one," he explains. "As in a date that takes you to dinner and a movie. And does all that kissing in the rain crap."
Does he think I didn't have fun? Because I had a lot of fun, actually. I mean, yeah, it wasn't a typical date-but who said I wanted one?
"No," I say. "I'm glad it wasn't, this date was a lot more fun than going to eat then the movies. Plus, I wouldn't mind kissing in the rain with you." I add the last part quietly.
Butt hurt jerk grins, "I'm glad you had fun then," he leans in closer. "And kissing in the rain. . . .That could be arranged."
"I'll have to check in with my assistant." I joke with him.
He leans closer. "And what did your assistant say?"
I lean a bit closer, our noses touching and I can feel his breath fanning my face. "My assistant said," I put my hand on his chest. "that I'm kind of busy right now!"
I push him away, laughing. He looks at me with amusement. "Well then." He puts his head up high. "You sure are missing out."
"On you?" I scoff. "You mean valuable hours to be on Netflix, then yes."
Now this right here," he points to himself. "is valuable."
I roll my eyes. "No I think you mean overdue."
"Obviously not overdue enough." He makes one eyebrow go up higher then the other.
"What do you mean by that?" I reply, making both eyebrows go up.
His smirk grows. "I mean that I'm not as overdue as you think," he licks his lips. "Since you kissed me."
My face suddenly feels warm. "I did not kiss you! You kissed me!"
He smirks even wider which I didn't think was possible. "Well, cupcake, you did kiss me back."
My face is hot, way too hot right now. And he knows that my face is, so he keeps nagging on.
"The way you'd gasp in between the kisses," he stares at me intensely. "Also when you were frozen at first," his index finger trails up my arm. "then slowly moved your lips against mine." His index finger reaches my lips, tracing them. "Then the way your breathing was fast. . ."
"And you're point is?" I manage out in a single breath.
"My point is that I am fully captivated by you, not only by the way you act with me, or the way you kiss, or the way you talk, or the way you look, or the way your humor is," he takes a deep breath. "But I'm fully and utterly captivated by just the whole meaning of you, Ivory."
I am speechless, not one person has ever said that to me. And I am speechless, my mouth has seemed to be glued shut and my tongue has seemed to get dry.
"And I know that we have met with you drawing things that you should not know how to draw which was on my face and that we have only went on one date, and that we are young teenagers who are wild, yet reckless. But I know one thing, and that's to spend my wild, yet reckless time with you."
My eyes swell with small, happy tears and I am fully touched. Once again, I'm tongue tied so I slam into his body to give him a hug.
"No kiss?" He pouts when I pull away.
I chuckle and as I go towards his lips, I move quickly to plant a small kiss on his nose. His eyes open and he whispers. "How are you so adorable?"
I smile, kissing his nose again. "Ask my assistant."

"So how was the date?" My brother asks me the next day, walking in my room.
"It was not a date." I say, still reading my book.
"Why do you keep denying it?" He asks. "When do you plan on telling mom?"
I look up at him. He won't stop will he? "I don't have anything to tell her other than you getting on my nerves."
He rolls his eyes, not finding it annoying. "Just drop the act or I'll tell mom."
I give him a look. "You wouldn't."
He gives me a daring look. "Ivory I would."
I sigh in defeat, mainly annoyed. "Yes we did go on a date last night, happy?"
"Not until I get the juicy details!" He plops down on my bed. My God, he's acting like a teenager girl.
"Um, we went to a coffee shop. Drink hot chocolate. And. . . um we rolled yards. Maybe or maybe not."
He laughs. "It's about time you do crazy, stupid things!"
I watch him laugh. "So you aren't mad that I rolled yards and almost got caught?"
He puts a hand on my shoulder. "I did that stuff too, Ivory, don't worry about it. But don't be reckless because I'm not wasting my money to bail you out."
I nod my head. "Affirmative." Then I add. "Don't tell mom anything because I want to be the one to tell her about Collins and I."
He repeats me. "Affirmative."
Later that day, my mom comes home from grocery shopping. "Hey sweetie." She greets me. "What're you watching on Netflix?"
I smile. "Supernatural."
She looks at the TV. "Oh okay. Well how was your day?"
"Swell." I say in a fake deep voice.
She smiles, mimicking my deep voice. "Why that's nice."
Oh my.
I burst into laugher. "Never do that again!" I hold my stomach. "Never, ever!!"
She smiles. "That bad?"
I chuckle. "No it's just-" I break into a fit of laughter and my mom's phone rings.
She answers it and I go back to watching my show, containing my laughter.
She gets off the phone. "Hey, Ivory?"
I look at her. "Yeah?"
"I just got off the phone with Ryan and he said that all of us could go out to eat not this Friday, but the next one." She tells me.
I nod my head, smiling. "Awesome." I put on a serious face. "I get to give him the talk about not hurting you or I'll hunt him down."
She laughs. "No, I'd beat you there!"
I give her a disbelieving look. "In those shoes? I think not." I point towards her high heels.
"One, I only wearing them to work. Two, you'd be suprised how fast I can run espically in heels."
"True," I say. "Maybe we won't have to worry about that one bit."
My mom sadly smiles. "Yeah. Me too."
